The publisher’s description says the trailer includes combat gameplay, story cutscenes, and levels and characters it had not shown in earlier promotional material. “Never-seen-before” is the publisher’s promotional characterization.

The description also states: “All trailer content is taken from the actual PC version.” That identifies the source version of the footage; it does not establish how the game looks or performs on PS5 or another platform.
What the trailer is meant to show
The video combines playable combat with narrative scenes, offering a preview of the game’s action and world rather than a separate announcement of a new game. PlayStation describes Black Myth: Wukong as an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology and based on Journey to the West, one of China’s Four Great Classical Novels. Its player character is the Destined One, who travels westward and faces powerful foes.

PlayStation’s US product page lists the PS5 release date as August 20, 2024. It also showed a US standard price of $59.99 and a two-hour full-game trial with PlayStation Plus Premium when checked on October 4, 2026. Store prices, trial terms, and subscription availability can change; those details apply to that US page and date.
