What was claimed about a Switch 2 version?
On February 6, 2026, Gameranx reported that NateTheHate had heard Black Myth: Wukong was coming to Switch 2 “at some point.” In the report, NateTheHate said: “Now, this final one, this is a game I’ve actually heard is coming to Switch 2. So, the prediction is that it would be at this Partner Direct, but I have heard this game is coming to Switch 2 at some point. And that title is Black Myth Wukong.” The statement is an insider claim, not an announcement from Game Science or Nintendo. Gameranx’s report attributes the wording to NateTheHate.

A day earlier, KitGuru also reported an insider claim that the game was in development for Switch 2, attributing it to NateDrake. KitGuru noted that an appearance at the showcase was not necessarily confirmed. These two reports show that a port rumor circulated; neither amounts to official confirmation. KitGuru’s report does not provide a verified build or platform-holder announcement.
Did it appear at the Nintendo Partner Direct?
No. The Partner Direct associated with the rumor’s initial expectation passed without Black Myth: Wukong appearing, according to Gameranx. That absence means the anticipated showcase reveal did not happen; it neither proves nor rules out a later Switch 2 release.

What is known about a possible port?
The reports reviewed do not include an official Game Science or Nintendo confirmation, a release date, a Switch 2 product listing, or specifications for a Switch 2 edition. KitGuru raises performance as an open question, but gives no verified Switch 2 footage, build details, or benchmark results. Any claims about resolution, frame rate, visual settings, or how the game would run on the system would therefore be speculation.
Gameranx describes the game as already released on PC and PlayStation 5, with an Xbox release following. Those existing platform releases do not establish that a Switch 2 edition is being made.

What should players watch for next?
Until Game Science or Nintendo makes an announcement, treat the Switch 2 version as unconfirmed. If an official notice appears, check what it actually specifies: whether it names a native Switch 2 edition or another way to play, which platforms are included, and whether it gives a release date or technical information. A rumor, an absent showcase appearance, or a listing without an attributable official source is not enough to establish those details.
