That review count and its associated score are time-sensitive, and the PC result is specific to that platform; neither should be treated as a permanent or platform-neutral rating. How to interpret “GOTY material”
“Game of the Year” can refer to different things: an outlet’s opinion, an aggregated critic score, a nomination or win from a particular awards body, or a player-voted award. These are not interchangeable. For a fair comparison, name the source or award, identify the platform when citing an aggregate score, and distinguish a nomination from a win. On that basis, the evidence supports calling Black Myth: Wukong a serious 2024 contender—not claiming that review scores made it an undisputed GOTY.
