When did Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 arrive?
Activision announced Season 04 for May 29, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT. The publisher scheduled Season 04 Reloaded for July 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT. The launch and Reloaded updates had distinct map and mode additions, so the mid-season content should not be mistaken for what arrived on day one.

What maps came to Multiplayer?
At launch: Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz
The May 21, 2025 announcement previewed three maps for the season’s launch: Shutdown and Fugitive were 6v6 Core maps, while Blitz was a Strike map. These were the new Multiplayer maps highlighted for Season 04’s May 29 launch.
At Reloaded: Fringe and Eclipse
Season 04 Reloaded added Fringe, a reimagining of a map first seen in Black Ops 3, and Eclipse, a new Strike map set in an Avalon nightclub. Reloaded also brought cel-shaded versions of Nuketown, Babylon, Skyline, Stakeout, and Grind to CODtoons Moshpit. The Party Ops lineup used those cel-shaded maps minus Stakeout.

What is Zombies Grief?
Grief is a 4v4 competitive survival mode that changes the usual cooperative Zombies setup into a contest between two teams. Each side occupies part of a Grief Arena within a Zombies map. Players compete to outlast the other team while surviving the surrounding undead.
Teams cannot kill enemy players outright. Instead, they can hinder opponents through actions such as body-blocking or attacks that slow them, and they can capture zones that debuff the other side. A team wins when the opposing team is killed or downed by Zombies—not through direct player eliminations.

Other Zombies content announced for the season included the Shatter Blast Ammo Mod, three new GobbleGums, a Grim Reaper support launcher, a Starting Room limited-time mode, an Abomination challenge, and leaderboard events. Those limited-time activities and playlists are historical season content; their present availability is not established here.

Which Warzone Ranked modes were announced, and where?
Warzone’s Season 04 Ranked offerings were tied to different maps and arrived at different points in the season. Activision announced Battle Royale Ranked on Verdansk for launch, then planned Resurgence Ranked for Rebirth Island at mid-season. Reloaded described Resurgence Ranked as Trios.

What else was added to Warzone?
The Overlook and Clash
At launch, the season introduced The Overlook, a skyscraper point of interest under construction in Downtown Verdansk. It also featured Clash, a 52v52 mode with 104 players and 15-minute matches on Verdansk. Teams competed to reach 500 points through eliminations, contracts, and objectives.

Havoc Royale and Resurgence Casual
Havoc Royale and Resurgence Casual were among the season’s other Warzone features. Resurgence Casual mixed players with bots and was presented as a lower-pressure way to warm up or introduce a new player. Activision said results in that mode did not count toward or against stats.

Call of Duty Staff / Activision described the Season 04 Battle Pass in its May 21, 2025 announcement as delivering “100+ new pieces of content.” That number is the publisher’s description, not an independently counted inventory. The announcement also mentioned more content beyond that figure.
What is the difference between launch and Reloaded content?
The main dividing line is timing: Season 04 launched May 29, 2025, while Reloaded arrived July 2. Launch brought Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz to Multiplayer, The Overlook and launch activities to Warzone, and the season’s featured Zombies additions. Reloaded added Fringe and Eclipse, cel-shaded Multiplayer playlist maps, and Resurgence Ranked on Rebirth Island. The Ranked map distinction was Verdansk for Battle Royale Ranked and Rebirth Island for Resurgence Ranked.
