The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta has ended. Early Access ran August 30–September 4, 2024, and the Open Beta ran September 6–9, 2024. Both periods were scheduled to start and end at 10 a.m. PT. There is no way to join those beta sessions now.
When were the Black Ops 6 beta dates?
Activision announced two beta periods in 2024. The first was Early Access; the second was open to all players. The schedule below is historical, not a current opportunity to play.

Activision said the beta went live on all platforms at the same time and required an internet connection. See the official Call of Duty beta announcement for the schedule and access notes.
Who could play, and what were the access conditions?
Early Access
Early Access required a preorder or one of the qualifying Game Pass plans named in Activision’s announcement: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console. The announcement noted that Game Pass Console members might also need Game Pass Core to access multiplayer. Xbox Wire said digital preorders were automatically registered for Early Access, so those players did not need a beta code.

Open Beta
The September weekend was open to all players across platforms, with no preorder required. Xbox Wire said Game Pass Core was not necessary for that open weekend. At the time, the listed PC download options included Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam; see Xbox Wire’s August 30, 2024 beta guide.
Platform and regional exceptions
Some historical requirements were specific to a service or location, not universal rules. Activision’s announcement said Battle.net and/or Steam beta play required a linked mobile phone number. It also noted a PlayStation Plus requirement for PS4 and PS5 owners in Germany because of the game’s age rating, and an age and payment condition for PS4/PS5 owners in Japan. Can you still get beta access by buying Black Ops 6?
No. The beta was a limited-time event in 2024, and its Early Access preorder benefit has expired. The full game launched October 25, 2024, according to Xbox Wire’s launch-date announcement. A current full-game copy is not a way to enter the beta.
Activision Support’s Black Ops 6 editions information describes console physical editions and platform compatibility. In particular, the PS5 physical edition plays on PS5 only; physical editions do not work on Xbox Series S or a digital-only PS5. Any beta access bundled with participating retailer preorders was a historical promotion, not a current entitlement.
