If you’re looking for a Black Ops 6 bot lobby, separate three different things: practicing in an official private match, trying to get easier public matchmaking, and using a service that promises boosted XP or unlocks. Activision documents private matches and a Training Course as practice options, but the reviewed BO6 materials do not confirm that you can add AI bots to a private match. They also do not establish a way to guarantee easy public lobbies.
What does “bot lobby” mean in Black Ops 6?
Players use the phrase for different goals, and the distinction matters:
- Practice: A controlled private game to explore maps, modes, or settings, or the Training Course to work on movement.
- Easier public matches: A request for opponents who are easier to beat. Activision’s general matchmaking statement says bots are not used in Call of Duty Multiplayer matchmaking, but it predates BO6 and does not promise any particular difficulty of opponents.
- Progression or boosting: A service or manipulated lobby advertised for XP, weapon levels, challenges, or unlocks. Activision’s policies prohibit cheating and boosting, so this route carries account-policy risk.
What official practice options does BO6 document?
Private Matches for maps, modes, and settings
Activision’s Black Ops 6 launch guide describes inviting friends into Private Matches on launch maps and modes, with menus for adjusting gameplay. It also presents private play as a way to inspect maps. This supports private, customizable play; it does not confirm AI opponents or a bot-setting menu.
Training Course for movement practice
Activision’s BO6 movement guide identifies the Training Course and Private Match as ways to practice movement. The Training Course is the documented choice when you want focused practice rather than a match against other players.

The BO6 controls guide covers in-game adjustments for controller, mouse, audio, and other settings. Tuning these before a match can make practice more useful without relying on an unverified bot setup.
Can you add AI bots to a BO6 Private Match?
The official BO6 materials cited here do not establish whether the current Private Match interface allows AI bots, what bot difficulties or settings it might offer, or whether bot matches affect progression. They confirm Private Matches with friends and configurable gameplay, not AI support. Don’t assume instructions for another Call of Duty game apply to BO6.

If you need a definitive answer for your current game version, check the live Private Match menus or current BO6-specific official instructions. Without confirmation, treat a private match as an option for playing with friends and exploring settings—not as a guaranteed bot lobby.
Does public BO6 matchmaking use bots?
In a January 2024 matchmaking post, Call of Duty states: “Call of Duty Multiplayer does not use bots as part of the general matchmaking process.” That is a general policy statement published before BO6. It addresses general Multiplayer matchmaking, not BO6 Private Match bot settings, and it does not support claims that a particular method can guarantee easier public opponents.

Why avoid bot-lobby and boosting services?
Activision’s Terms of Use prohibit using unauthorized bots, modded lobbies, cheats, and boosting. Its Security and Enforcement Policy describes boosting as exploiting the game to obtain XP, prestige, score, weapon levels, or unlocks; listed outcomes include temporary or permanent bans and limited matchmaking. The policy does not let you predict the outcome for a particular player.
Activision’s Season 05 RICOCHET update describes boosting services as using low-effort accounts to illegitimately farm XP and complete challenges, and states: “Boosting and Teaming are cheating.” That is Activision’s description of enforcement targets, not proof that every service advertising a “bot lobby” works as claimed. Avoid treating a paid offer as an official or safe BO6 feature.
