More than one creator was reported to have unlocked Dark Matter early in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, so the headline alone does not identify a single streamer. Braderz announced an unlock in a video published October 27, 2024; GamesRadar separately reported that Skullface earned a Dark Matter weapon camo after a 57-hour grind, then unlocked it for the other 32 weapons about a day later. Those are distinct accounts, and the timing comes from the sources reporting them.
What Dark Matter is—and why it took so long
Dark Matter is Black Ops 6’s final Multiplayer Mastery Camo. Activision’s progression overview describes a journey through Military, Special, and Mastery camos. At launch, its guide said players had to earn Dark Spine on 33 launch weapons before the Dark Matter challenge became available for those weapons.

That made an early unlock a weapon-by-weapon progression milestone, not a single challenge available at the start of Multiplayer. Activision published the launch requirements on October 21, 2024, in its Progression Systems Unredacted guide. Its broader Black Ops 6 progression overview explains the camo journey.
Which streamer unlocked it first?
The available reports do not establish one person as the subject of the headline. Braderz’s verified creator channel published “I UNLOCKED the NEW DARK MATTER CAMO in BLACK OPS 6!” on October 27, 2024. The video description calls the achievement the finale of the Multiplayer Mastery grind and says Braderz was among the first in the world. That is the creator’s own claim, not an independent ranking.

In a separate launch-week story, GamesRadar reported Skullface’s early unlock. It said Skullface earned a Dark Matter weapon camo after 57 hours of grinding and three hours of sleep, then earned the camo for the other 32 weapons about a day later. The time figures are GamesRadar’s account of an individual grind, not independently verified measurements.
These accounts should not be combined: Braderz and Skullface are different creators in separate reports. Neither account, as described here, establishes cheating or an exploit.

What the 57-hour figure does—and doesn’t—tell you
The 57 hours refers to the grind GamesRadar attributed to Skullface. It is not a typical completion time, a population statistic, or a verified record. Braderz’s video description likewise makes a creator claim about being among the first, rather than supplying independent proof of a world-first ranking.
The creator video description also names SCUF and ASTRO Gaming. That does not show that their products caused or enabled the unlock.

Are the launch requirements still current?
The cited 33-weapon and Dark Spine requirements describe Black Ops 6’s launch-era progression. They should not automatically be treated as the current challenge rules: check the in-game camo challenge descriptions for the weapons and mode you are playing.
