When was Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 scheduled to release?
Activision’s May 21, 2025 announcement scheduled Season 04 for May 29, 2025, at 9AM PT. This is the date and time Activision announced at the time, not an upcoming release date. The announcement also cautioned, “All content timing may be subject to change.” Activision’s Season 04 announcement
What did the roadmap say about content timing?
Activision used four timing labels in its roadmap. They describe the planned window in the announcement; they do not independently confirm that each item arrived exactly on schedule.
- Launch: available when the season launched.
- Launch Window: planned for launch through as much as 72 hours afterward.
- In Season: planned for later during the season, before mid-season or the next season.
- Mid-Season: planned for mid-season or later.
What is the Grim Reaper Scorestreak?
The Grim Reaper was listed as an In-Season addition, not launch-day content. In Multiplayer, it is a lethal semi-automatic launcher that can fire up to four rockets in one load. The roadmap listed a score requirement of 725 and described it as capable of targeting Operators or enemy Scorestreaks. These are the announced gameplay specifications, not a comparison of weapon performance.

How did players get the Olympia shotgun?
Activision’s June 26, 2025 Reloaded overview called the weapon the Olympia Special and described it as a free event reward. Players could earn it by gaining XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone while the Beavis & Butt-Head event was live. That later event framing means the Olympia was not presented as a May 29 launch reward. The cited overview does not establish that the event or reward is currently available. What else was planned for Season 04?
The roadmap covered several modes, with different features assigned to launch or mid-season windows:
Multiplayer
Activision previewed five maps: Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz at launch, followed by Eclipse and a reimagined Fringe at mid-season. The roadmap also listed Team Elimination and the return of One in the Chamber, alongside other modes.

The season roadmap announced Grief, a returning 4v4 competitive mode, as well as the Grim Reaper in a Zombies support-launcher role.
Warzone
Clash and Battle Royale: Ranked Play were listed as returning, while Resurgence: Ranked Play was planned for mid-season. The roadmap described Clash as a 104-player mode split into 52-versus-52 teams, with 15-minute matches.
