In Black Ops 6 Zombies, “points” are called Essence. The clearest confirmed ways to boost your Essence are the Double Points and Bonus Points power-ups: one doubles Essence from enemy takedowns, while the other gives every player an additional amount. Otherwise, earn Essence by slaying zombies and spend it on the routes, upgrades, and supplies your run needs.
What counts as points in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Essence is the mode’s points currency. You earn it by slaying zombies, then use it to open doors and buy perks, weapons, weapon upgrades, ammunition, armor, and trials. Essence is not Salvage
Salvage is a separate resource that drops randomly from fallen enemies. It is used for weapon rarity upgrades, ammo mods, and equipment crafting, rather than serving as the points you spend to open doors or buy perks. Blizzard’s Black Ops 6 Zombies overview distinguishes the two resources and their uses.

Spend Essence according to what your run needs
There is no officially ranked spending order in the cited guides. A practical priority is to use Essence on the purchase that addresses your most immediate need: open a useful route, improve survivability with a perk or armor, or strengthen your weapon through an upgrade or ammunition purchase. Weapons and trials are also documented uses. The right choice depends on your current equipment and where you need to go next.
