To trigger Maya’s hidden cutscene on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Citadelle des Morts, play as Maya, reach the end of round 12 or later with one zombie still alive, then interact with the radio upstairs in the Dining Hall near Vulture Aid. The radio opens a hidden passage; clear the enemies inside, take Laurent’s key, and use it to enter Franco’s room. Spoilers for the quest and its story outcome follow.
Before you start
- Choose Maya. The hidden cutscene quest is character-specific; it will not trigger while playing another operator. GameSpot’s walkthrough documents the Maya-only requirement.
- Wait for the correct round window. The first step is unavailable until after round 11. Keep one zombie alive at the end of round 12 or a later round, then make your way to the Dining Hall. This timing matters: arriving before the required window will not start the sequence.
- Locate the Dining Hall. It is the area with Vulture Aid. Activision’s official Citadelle des Morts map guide provides route and room context, and recommends Directed Mode as a way to learn the map and progress its story. It does not include the Maya side-quest steps.
How to trigger Maya’s cutscene
- Go upstairs in the Dining Hall. Near Vulture Aid, look in the left corner for a wooden door and a table holding a radio.
- Interact with the radio. Franco speaks, and the wooden door unlocks. Enter the passage beyond it.
- Fight through the passage. Vermin attack in the cramped space. Move carefully and clear them before pushing onward.
- Defeat the Doppelghasts. In the next room, kill the first Doppelghast, then defeat the elite Doppelghast Laurent.
- Pick up Laurent’s key. Laurent drops the key when defeated.
- Unlock Franco’s room. Use the key on the door where Franco is hiding. Opening the room triggers Maya’s hidden cutscene.
What the cutscene reveals
Spoilers: GameSpot’s account of the story says Maya came to Terminus searching for her brother, Nathan, who had been experimented on in connection with Project Janus. In the cutscene, Maya kills Franco in revenge: he sold Nathan to Project Janus. Activision situates the crew’s expedition to Citadelle des Morts in Avalon after the events of Terminus, with Maya among the crew.
For broader map orientation, Activision’s official guide describes the route from the Entrance Hall toward the Dungeon and identifies the Dining Hall area’s perks, including Vulture Aid and Quick Revive. Those details can help with navigation, but the radio, passage, and Laurent sequence above are specific to Maya’s hidden side quest.
