In October 2025, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta was extended through Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. PT (12:00 p.m. ET). Battlefield 6 launched the following morning, October 10, at 8:00 a.m. PT (11:00 a.m. ET), according to a contemporaneous report. The beta has ended; this is a recap of the schedule change.
When did the Black Ops 7 beta end?
The revised end time was 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Xbox Wire confirmed the time in an editor’s note on October 8. Treyarch’s extension announcement also said Double XP would remain active throughout the added time.
How much longer did the extension run?
Activision’s original schedule had the beta ending Wednesday, October 8, at 10:00 a.m. PT. The revised end on October 9 at 9:00 a.m. PT was 23 hours later—not exactly 24 hours when comparing the published times.

Did the beta end before Battlefield 6 launched?
Yes. GameSpot reported that Battlefield 6 launched Friday, October 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET. That put its launch 23 hours after the revised Black Ops 7 beta end time. The beta therefore wrapped up the day before Battlefield 6 launched.

Was the extension because of Battlefield 6?
The timing places the beta’s final hours immediately before Battlefield 6’s launch, but the available official announcement does not say the rival game prompted the extension. Treyarch instead thanked players for their response, saying, “The reaction to the Black Ops 7 Beta so far has been awesome to see!” That is the studio’s characterization, not a stated explanation tying the decision to Battlefield 6.

Treyarch listed Toshin as a new 6v6 map for the extension and said Double XP would stay active. The beta included Multiplayer and Zombies Survival; Treyarch described it as the first Call of Duty beta to include Zombies.
