The Black Ops 7 Beta’s level cap rose from 20 to 30 on October 5, 2025, when the Open Beta began. The beta ended at 9:00 a.m. PT on October 9, 2025, after Treyarch extended its originally announced schedule. Leveling unlocked Multiplayer loadout content, and nine rewards were tied to specific level milestones.
What was the Black Ops 7 Beta level cap?
The Beta began with a level cap of 20 during Early Access. On October 5, 2025, Treyarch raised it to 30 for the Open Beta, adding more weapons, perks, Field Upgrades, Scorestreaks, rewards and other unlocks. This was a progression-cap increase within the same beta, not a separate mode. Treyarch’s October 5 patch notes announced the change.

When did the Black Ops 7 Beta run?

The schedule and access details appeared in the official Beta guide; the extension was announced in the October 5 patch notes. Double XP remained active through the extension. These dates are historical: the Beta is over.
What did you unlock at each Beta level?
Activision Support listed these nine reward milestones. The Beta Leader Operator Skin at level 20 was a pre-order exclusive. Activision’s Beta Rewards page said the listed rewards would be available to use in Black Ops 7 at launch.

The October 5 cap increase also opened progression unlocks from levels 21 to 30, including weapons, perks, Field Upgrades, Scorestreaks and Zombies items. The level 30 Beta reward was the Beta Legend M15 MOD 0 Weapon Blueprint.
How did leveling work?
Players earned XP by playing matches, with the official guide recommending Daily Challenges for XP bonuses. Some weapons, perks, Scorestreaks and equipment were available in default loadouts before players leveled up. At level 4, Multiplayer unlocked Custom Loadouts and the ability to customize weapons and gear. Further levels unlocked additional loadout options.

The official sources do not give a complete XP curve, XP-per-match figure, or reliable estimate of how many matches or hours it took to reach level 30. Match length, performance and challenge completion can affect how quickly a player earns XP, so a fixed time-to-cap estimate is not established.

Activision Support said the listed Beta rewards would be available in Black Ops 7 at launch; that promise applied to those rewards, not to every kind of Beta progress. The official sources do not establish that Beta levels or all weapon progression transferred. Treyarch’s patch notes specifically said complimentary Beta GobbleGums did not transfer to Black Ops 6 or Black Ops 7 inventories.
