This is the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 camo guide for Multiplayer and Zombies, current to Season 06. Each weapon has nine sequential Military camos, then three weapon-specific Special challenges that can be completed in any order, followed by four mode-specific Mastery camos. Seasonal, Ranked Play, and event camos are listed separately because their requirements and availability are time-limited or change by season.
How Black Ops 7 weapon camo progression works
For each weapon and mode, complete its nine Military camos to unlock the three Special challenges. Finish all 12 to begin that mode’s Mastery challenges. Multiplayer and Zombies track their camo progress separately; earning a camo in one mode does not substitute for its counterpart in the other.
- Complete the nine Military camos in sequence.
- Complete the three Special challenges in any order after they unlock.
- Earn the four Mastery tiers for that weapon and mode.
Activision’s Black Ops 7 progression guide lists these in-game routes to check requirements: Career > Challenges > Camos, or Weapons > Loadouts > Gunsmith > Customize > Camo > Challenges.
Multiplayer Military camo challenges
The ordinary Multiplayer Military ladder requires headshots. The thresholds below are per weapon, in sequence; the final threshold unlocks Ruby Snake. Activision announced in 2025 that the standard requirement was reduced from 100 to 80 headshots per weapon.

Multiplayer class exceptions
Not every class follows the headshot ladder. Shotguns require Point-Blank Kills, sniper rifles require One-Shot Kills, launchers use kills or Scorestreak destructions, and melee weapons use kills. Check the individual weapon tracker for the exact requirement and threshold rather than applying the ordinary ladder to these classes. Updated weapon-by-weapon requirements are listed in Dot Esports’ Multiplayer camo challenge list.
Zombies Military camo challenges
For ordinary Zombies weapons, the Military progression is based on Critical Kills. Requirements below are per weapon and sequential; the last camo is Emerald Snake. Activision reduced the standard requirement from 2,000 to 1,000 Critical Kills per weapon in its 2025 progression announcement.

Zombies class exceptions
Shotguns use Point-Blank Kills instead of the ordinary Critical Kill objective. Launchers and melee weapons use eliminations. The current tracker and weapon-specific list should be used for exact class and weapon requirements; see Dot Esports’ Zombies camo challenge list, updated for Season 6.
Special camos: unlock condition and examples
After all nine Military camos are complete for a weapon, its three Special challenges unlock. These are not a shared class-wide checklist: the objectives vary by weapon and may involve attachments, movement, tactical equipment, ammo mods, Pack-a-Punch, weapon rarity, or enemy type. Complete the three in any order.

MXR-17 Multiplayer examples
- Diamondback: 50 eliminations with five or more attachments.
- Raptor: 30 kills while sprinting or shortly after sprinting.
- Mainframe: 20 kills with an underbarrel Launcher attachment.
MXR-17 Zombies examples
- Mutilate: Get 5 Critical Kills rapidly, 15 times.
- Slither: Get 10 kills without reloading, 15 times.
- Pathfinder: Get 300 eliminations with Cryo Freeze equipped.
These are MXR-17 examples, not requirements for every weapon. Consult the weapon-by-weapon references for the complete current lists: Multiplayer and Zombies.
Mastery camos in Multiplayer and Zombies
After a weapon has all nine Military and three Special camos in a mode, it can progress through that mode’s four Mastery camos. Activision says the final Mastery tier unlocks automatically once the preceding Mastery tier has been earned on 30 weapons.

The Zombies guide lists these example actions for its tiers: Golden Dragon requires 10 kills rapidly 15 times; Bloodstone requires 20 or more consecutive kills without taking damage 5 times; Doomsteel requires eliminating 10 Elite Zombies. Infestation unlocks after Doomsteel has been earned on 30 weapons. Check the live tracker for full requirements and any changes.

These rewards sit outside the standard per-weapon Military, Special, and Mastery path. Activision’s Season 06 announcement, dated September 8, 2026, says the season launched September 17 and includes 45+ weapon camos across weekly, BlackCell, Camo Costume Party, and Multiplayer Ranked rewards. Requirements and availability depend on the particular reward and season.

Weekly and BlackCell rewards
Season 06’s universal animated weekly camos are Jelly, earned by completing any two weekly rewards, and Leviathan, earned by completing all weekly rewards across Season 06. The official announcement also lists six BlackCell challenge camos: Jigsaw, Specter, Entangle, Liquify, Shackled, and Abyssal.
Camo Costume Party event
The event guide lists 36 class challenges across Co-Op/Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Completing any nine challenges unlocks the Arcblade; completing all nine challenges in one mode earns that mode’s animated Mastery camo; completing all 36 unlocks a secret completion camo. The guide gives October 8, 2026, at 10 AM PT as the event close. Since this is deadline-sensitive, check the in-game event menu for current availability.
The event guide names the nine event camos as Oozed, Undergrowth, Gray Matter, Zombie Mai Tai, Patchwork, Gravebloom, Grubs, Malignant, and Death Row. See the event challenge and reward list for the class-specific objectives.
Multiplayer Ranked Play
Season 06 Ranked Play rewards are Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crimson, Iridescent, and Top 250. These are Ranked rewards, not steps in a weapon’s standard Multiplayer Mastery ladder. Activision’s Season 06 announcement lists the seasonal rewards.

Use the in-game camo menu to confirm a weapon’s current requirement, then check the tracker after updates: newly added weapons, seasonal rewards, and individual challenge values can change. The progression routes are Career > Challenges > Camos and Weapons > Loadouts > Gunsmith > Customize > Camo > Challenges.
