Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched on November 14, 2025, according to Activision, so the release date in the reported early ad is no longer upcoming. Insider Gaming described a leaked 15-second ad featuring a high, boost-assisted leap it called a “mega jump,” but the official materials reviewed do not confirm a separately sold product named the “Mega Jump Boost Pack.” Activision does confirm a digital-only Vault Edition and physical console editions with important compatibility limits.
What the leaked ad reportedly showed
Insider Gaming reported that users circulated a screenshot of a short ad that appeared to air early. The outlet described a 15-second spot promoting preorder availability, the release date, and the Vault Edition. Its account of the footage mentioned vertical combat, a high leap and glide called a “mega jump,” mech suits, and a dream sequence. Those are observations attributed to the leak report, not confirmation that Activision released an official trailer or that every detail in the report is established.
The phrase “Mega Jump Boost Pack” appears in the reported headline, but the official materials reviewed do not identify it as a separately sold product. Activision’s official game page describes multiplayer, Zombies, progression, and a gallery containing launch and reveal trailers; it does not substantiate that pack name.
Black Ops 7 release date and platforms
Activision lists November 14, 2025, as the release date. That date has passed. Its title page lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Battle.net, Steam, and Game Pass. Treyarch and Raven Software are listed as studios.

The same article listed early beta access and a Reznov Challenge Pack as preorder benefits. Physical editions and console compatibility
Activision Support says physical editions are available for Xbox and PlayStation. The edition name alone is not enough to establish compatibility: the console generation and whether the system has a disc drive matter.
| Option | What Activision says is included or supported | Compatibility caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Vault Edition | Digital-only game bundle with premium digital content. | Activision’s 2025 article listed $99.99 U.S. suggested retail price; check a current storefront for today’s price and availability. |
| Physical PS5 edition | Physical edition available. | PS5-only; it will not work on a digital-only PS5. |
| Physical PS4 Cross-Gen Bundle | PS4 version plus a code for the PS5 digital version. | The disc is required to play the included PS5 version; physical editions do not work on a digital-only PS5. |
| Physical Xbox Cross-Gen Bundle | Xbox Series X and Xbox One versions. | Physical editions do not work on Xbox Series S. |
| Digital purchase or access | Activision lists console and PC purchase routes and Game Pass. | Region, subscription, platform, current price, and availability depend on the applicable storefront. |
Connectivity and split-screen details
Activision Support says Black Ops 7 uses texture streaming across all modes and requires a continuous internet connection, including for Campaign. It also says split-screen is available on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, but not Xbox One or PS4.

How to choose an edition now
Since the game has already launched, compare what a current storefront offers rather than relying on preorder language from the reported ad or 2025 edition page. Check the format, the exact console or PC platform, the digital extras included, and the price and availability shown for your region. If you want a disc, confirm that your console has a disc drive and that the edition matches your console generation.
For PC players, Blizzard News identifies Beenox as the PC lead developer working with Treyarch and discusses PC settings and Vault Edition bonuses. That information does not establish current PC storefront pricing or availability.
