Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched with 18 Multiplayer maps: 16 Core maps for 6v6 and two larger 20v20 Skirmish maps. The Core lineup includes three returning Black Ops 2 maps—Express, Hijacked, and Raid. Nuketown 2025 was announced as a separate preseason addition, not part of the 18-map launch roster.

Activision’s November 4, 2025 launch roster announcement and September 2025 Multiplayer deep dive identify 16 Core 6v6 maps and two Skirmish maps. Activision’s November 14, 2025 launch announcement likewise describes 18 Multiplayer maps.
Core 6v6 maps
The official deep dive identifies all 16 as Core maps. It provides detailed setting and layout notes for some maps; for the rest, the launch roster confirms their inclusion without a fuller description.

Is Nuketown 2025 part of the launch map list?
No. Activision announced that Nuketown 2025 would arrive in the preseason on November 20, 2025—six days after Black Ops 7 launched on November 14. It was an additional post-launch map, separate from the original 18-map launch roster. Later seasonal additions likewise are not part of that launch count.
That distinction explains why an 18-map launch list can coexist with a larger map selection later: the count refers specifically to the original set available at launch, not every map added afterward.
