TechRadar reported the US, UK, Tokyo and Sydney examples; PC Gamer also listed the US, UK, European and Australian times. The calendar date changed with location, even for the same global PC unlock.
Why did the PC launch time vary by storefront?
“PC” did not identify a single launch schedule. Xbox on PC was grouped with the regional rollout in contemporary guides, while Battle.net and Steam shared the global unlock instant. Activision’s November 4 PC launch article stated: “Preloading, including Co-Op Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, begins on November 10 at 9AM PT, with the full title going live on November 14 at midnight local time.” That is the article’s wording; platform-specific launch schedules reported by TechRadar and PC Gamer distinguish Xbox on PC from Battle.net and Steam.

When did the PC preload begin?
Activision said digital PC preload began November 10, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT, covering Co-Op Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. Preloading downloaded game files ahead of launch; it did not make the game playable before the applicable unlock time.

Activision lists Black Ops 7 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and PC through Xbox on PC, Battle.net and Steam. Its support page also lists access through Game Pass on Xbox consoles and Xbox on PC with Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Xbox Wire’s 2025 announcement additionally described cloud availability and day-one access for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Physical editions and digital-only consoles
- The Xbox Cross-Gen Bundle covers Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
- The PS5 physical edition is for PS5.
- The PS4 Cross-Gen edition includes a digital PS5 version, but the disc is still required.
- Physical editions do not work on Xbox Series S or a digital-only PS5. The PC Standard Edition is digital-only.
