The changes described the pass’s design—not a measured promise that every player would finish faster. Season 01 has ended, so its pass is no longer available.
What changed in the Season 01 Battle Pass?
Activision’s December 2, 2025 Season 01 announcement described three progression updates:
- Adjusted unlock timing: Activision said it used completion-time learnings from Black Ops 6 to tune Season 01 progression.
- Quicker early pages, more later rewards: Fewer tiers were needed to reach early pages’ high-value target (HVT) rewards, while later pages contained more rewards.
- Daily Challenge tokens: On certain days, completing the bonus Daily Challenge awarded a Battle Pass Token. The named challenge contexts included Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, Co-Op Campaign, and Endgame.
Activision framed the changes as making the pass more rewarding for time played across modes. The announcement did not publish completion-time figures, a before-and-after comparison, or a measured increase in how many players finished the pass. The design changes therefore do not establish a specific time saved or guarantee that a given player would complete it sooner.
How did page unlocks and HVT rewards work?
Season 01 had 100+ rewards across 14 pages plus a Completion Page, according to Activision. The first page and Instant Reward Page unlocked by default. Ordinary pages offered up to six token-unlocked rewards and an HVT.

Page access and HVT access had separate requirements. Activision Support’s Battle Pass guide says claiming five tiers on a page opened the next page. To claim that page’s HVT, however, players had to unlock and claim every tier on the page. Opening the next page did not mean the previous page’s HVT was available.
How could players earn Battle Pass Tokens?
Tokens came from Battle Pass progression through XP earned in public Black Ops 7 and Warzone modes, according to Activision Support. Season 01 also introduced the bonus Daily Challenge route: a token was awarded only on certain days when the bonus challenge was completed, not for every Daily Challenge.

Activision said Season 01 Battle Pass progression counted play across Co-Op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Endgame was also named as a context for the extra daily challenges. The free pass did not provide access to Battle Pass Tokens; Support also describes purchasing tokens with COD Points as an option.
Could players still get the Season 01 pass?
No. Activision Support says a season’s Battle Pass expires when a new Season begins, and a previous season’s pass cannot be purchased through the system it describes. Season 01 is over, so its pages and rewards are historical rather than an available pass to start now.

At season end, any unspent earned or purchased tokens were automatically spent on remaining rewards along a preset path. Battle Pass progress and unlocked rewards are tied to the Activision account and available on linked platforms; COD Points earned through the pass can be spent only on the platform where they were unlocked.
