Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 recorded a reported Steam launch-day peak of 86,652 concurrent players on November 14, 2025—well below the release-day peaks reported for Battlefield 6 and ARC Raiders. These are Steam concurrency figures, not sales or total audiences, and Black Ops 7’s number comes with an important shared-app caveat.
How the launch-day Steam peaks compare
Insider Gaming reported the figures below on November 15, 2025, citing SteamDB. Each number is that game’s reported concurrent-player peak on its own release day, not a count taken on the same calendar day.
| Game | Release date on Steam | Reported release-day peak |
|---|---|---|
| Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | November 14, 2025 | 86,652 concurrent players; reported by Insider Gaming, citing SteamDB |
| Battlefield 6 | October 10, 2025 | 747,440 concurrent players; reported by Insider Gaming, citing SteamDB |
| ARC Raiders | October 30, 2025 | 264,673 concurrent players; reported by Insider Gaming, citing SteamDB |
On those reported release-day peaks, Black Ops 7’s figure was lower than Battlefield 6’s and ARC Raiders’. The dates differ, so the numbers do not show how many people were playing all three games at once or how their audiences compared in a same-day snapshot.
What the Black Ops 7 figure does—and does not—count
The 86,652 figure is a Steam concurrent-player peak, not copies sold, unique players, or a total across platforms. SteamDB lists Black Ops 7 as a child app under the shared Call of Duty Steam app, which also supports Warzone. Insider Gaming notes that the reported number is under the Call of Duty banner; the available figures do not separate people playing Black Ops 7 from those using another Call of Duty component. It therefore should not be treated as a clean, isolated Black Ops 7 count or adjusted by guessing.
Steam is one PC storefront. These figures do not measure players on consoles or other PC storefronts, and they cannot establish either game’s full audience.

Why ARC Raiders’ later peak is a different comparison
ARC Raiders later reached a recorded all-time Steam peak of 481,966 concurrent players on November 16, 2025, according to its SteamDB chart. That was after its October 30 release, so it is not the release-day figure of 264,673 used in the comparison. Likewise, SteamDB’s Battlefield 6 chart records its all-time Steam peak of 747,440 on October 10, 2025. SteamDB says chart times are UTC and that chart data refreshes every five minutes for the top thousand games and every ten minutes for the rest; these historical peaks should not be mistaken for current player counts.

The comparison establishes a gap between the reported Steam release-day peaks. It does not explain why that gap occurred. The figures alone cannot show whether players chose one game over another, whether franchise fatigue mattered, or whether one title sold more copies. No named source in the cited coverage provides an explanation for the difference.
