Dreamhaven said it would create and publish original games, launching with two studios: Moonshot and Secret Door.
What is Dreamhaven?
Dreamhaven is a game company that said at launch it would create and publish original games for players around the world. Its stated approach was to give creative teams room to develop their own ideas while providing support to bring those games to players.

“I’m excited to team up with such talented people who care deeply about games and their communities,” Morhaime said in the launch announcement, where he was identified as Dreamhaven’s CEO.
Who founded Dreamhaven, and how was it organized?
Morhaime announced Dreamhaven after his tenure as Blizzard Entertainment’s CEO and cofounder. The company established two development studios at launch:

The announcement named the studios but did not assign a specific game to either one. Secret Door studio head Chris Sigaty described the intended collaboration: “The amount of game development and publishing experience at Dreamhaven combined with the camaraderie between our studios is already providing an unparalleled environment for creative collaboration.”
Dreamhaven’s current About Us page describes a model in which studios retain distinct identities while drawing on the company’s longer-term support and resources. That is Dreamhaven’s description of its own structure, not an independent assessment of how the model compares with other publishers.

What happened to Dreamhaven after it launched?
Dreamhaven’s current company site describes multiple development studios and a central team handling global operations, publishing, and partnerships. It also presents a portfolio of games. In a September 2025 update, the site highlighted Sunderfolk and Mechabellum in connection with the 2025 NYX Game Awards.
Later reporting adds a more difficult part of the company’s story. PC Gamer reported on February 4, 2026, that Dreamhaven had warned in 2025 that monthly expenses were outpacing revenue and had laid off an undisclosed number of employees, primarily in publishing. Those are reported developments, not audited financial results, and the available company-site information does not independently establish the scale of the financial or staffing changes.
