Made with six independent development partners, the lineup ranged from a school-set stealth adventure to a farming sim with a supernatural murder mystery. Several have since launched; the announcement slate is not a list of six games still waiting to release.
What Blumhouse Games announced
The reveal introduced Blumhouse Games’ first slate: six distinct projects, not six entries in a shared franchise. The announcement presented original work from independent studios rather than adaptations of Blumhouse films. Zach Wood, president of Blumhouse Games, said the label was proud to partner with independent creators bringing unique ideas to horror. In a June 2024 interview, founder and CEO Jason Blum described the label’s focus as indie horror and original stories; he also left open the possibility of future games based on the company’s properties.
The six titles differ in subgenre, perspective, and core activity:
| Game | Developer | Horror style and premise | Release status and platform information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fear the Spotlight | Cozy Game Pals | Third-person school horror adventure: teens Vivian and Amy sneak into a school, endure a séance gone wrong, solve tactile puzzles, and investigate an old tragedy. | Available now on Blumhouse’s current games page. Steam lists its PC release as October 22, 2024. The announcement listed PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. |
| SLEEP AWAKE | EYES OUT | Psychedelic first-person horror. In a far-future last city where people disappear in their sleep, Katja confronts death cults and otherworldly forces. | Available now on Blumhouse’s current games page. Steam lists its release as December 2, 2025. |
| Crisol: Theater of Idols | Vermila | First-person horror adventure in a nightmare version of Spain, where folklore and religion collide and the player uses their own blood as ammunition. | Available now on Blumhouse’s current games page. Steam lists February 10, 2026 as its release date. |
| The Simulation | Playmestudio | A game-within-a-game mystery: a retired game designer investigates a crime scene where a previously unseen horror game is the only evidence. | Current release status and platform information are not stated in the announcement sources. |
| Grave Seasons | Perfect Garbage | Pixel-art farming and town simulation with relationships and crop-growing, wrapped around a supernatural serial-killer mystery. | Blumhouse currently lists it as launching Fall 2026; platform details are not stated on that listing. |
| Project C | Half Mermaid Productions | A briefly teased, ambitious project associated with Sam Barlow and Brandon Cronenberg. It was not fully shown at the reveal. | Current status and platform information are not established by the available official listing. |
Which of the six games are out now?
As of October 8, 2026, Blumhouse’s current games page marks Fear the Spotlight, SLEEP AWAKE, and Crisol: Theater of Idols as available now. Steam provides the release dates for those three PC versions. Grave Seasons is listed by Blumhouse for Fall 2026, a seasonal window rather than a specific day.

- EXPANDED REPLAY VALUE – Includes adjustable difficulty settings and an Advanced Game mode with new monsters and obstacles that add fresh challenges, growing tension, and long term replay appeal.
The available current official listing does not show The Simulation or Project C, so their absence does not establish whether either project has been cancelled, delayed, renamed, or moved elsewhere. They should be treated as projects announced in 2024 with unverified current status, not as confirmed upcoming releases.
Why the lineup stands out
The six projects showed the label’s range more clearly than a single franchise-focused slate would. Fear the Spotlight builds tension around sneaking, puzzles, and a school tragedy; SLEEP AWAKE and Crisol take first-person approaches to more surreal or folkloric threats. Grave Seasons sets a serial-killer mystery against the familiar routines of farming and small-town life, while The Simulation turns a horror game itself into a clue. The reveal’s variety was the point: six independently developed concepts, rather than one formula repeated across titles.
