Which blueberry location should you choose?

PC Gamer describes the Picnic Table as the early alternative and the Ice Cream Cart grove as the larger source. Its guide does not establish that the Picnic Table is safe in every game state.
How to reach the two sources
Picnic Table
Go to the Picnic Table and search the tabletop beneath the tablecloth. This spot is identified as an earlier, smaller source. Gamer Guides lists its guide-map point as X: 8177 Y: 8248; use the landmark as well as the coordinates, since they are guide-specific.
Southeastern Ice Cream Cart grove
Travel to the Ice Cream Cart area in the southeast of Brookhollow Park and look for the blueberry bushes. Gamer Guides lists the grove at X: 10954 Y: 14299. O.R.C. bees guard this area, so approach prepared rather than treating it as an unguarded collection stop.

How to harvest Blueberry Chunks
- Find a blueberry hanging from a bush.
- Hit the hanging fruit with a weapon or ranged attack to break its stalk and knock it down.
- Use the Omni-Axe to chop the fallen berry into Blueberry Chunks.
This is a two-stage harvest: first dislodge the berry, then chop it. Attacking only the hanging fruit does not complete the collection.
What to do with Blueberry Chunks
Analyse one Blueberry Chunk to unlock the Blueberry Leather recipe. PC Gamer says three chunks craft one Blueberry Leather at a workbench, making the chunk a useful resource to save for crafting.

Can you get a chunk without farming the bushes?
PC Gamer also reports one or two Blueberry Chunks in a chest at the Ranger Outpost: Trashbags, north of the Snackbar. The guide says those chest items do not respawn, so treat this as a limited pickup for unlocking or supplementing your supply—not as a repeatable farming route.
