How to find remaining Vault Symbols
Use map icons and waypoints
PowerPyx reports that collectible icons appear on the map when you get near them. Select an icon to place a waypoint and follow the line to it. Undiscovered icons appear blue; collected icons appear green. The guide lists Square on PS5, X on Xbox, or F on PC to inspect region progress, and D-pad Right on PS5 or Xbox, or B on PC, to filter map icons. Controls can vary with platform configuration or updates, so check the on-screen prompts if those inputs differ.

Game8 recommends ECHO Location Scan for more direct guidance to a symbol. First approach the general area to unlock its collectible pin; the scan is not described as revealing every symbol from anywhere on the map.
Check the regional progress screen
When a region is incomplete, use its progress view alongside the checklist to narrow the remaining search to a region and subregion. The table gives the guide’s numbering and counts, rather than landmark-by-landmark directions.
Are any Vault Symbols missable or gated?
PowerPyx says free roam remains available after the story and describes the symbols as non-missable. Some locations do require story progress or access through side missions, so completing missions and activities before a dedicated collectible sweep can reduce backtracking. The guide says side missions can be replayed from the mission replay menu.

PowerPyx lists Terminus District Vault Symbol #41 as accessible only after the “Old Lads” side mission. After completing it, approach the symbol icon from the north to find the gate south of the safehouse.

Game8 reports that collecting all 46 completes the Myth of the Vault Challenge and grants a weapon cosmetic, experience, cash, and Eridium. The cosmetic’s name and the quantities of XP, cash, and Eridium are not specified in the available guide information.
Where to look if the cosmetic is missing
Borderlands Support’s “DLC, Bonus Content, and Cosmetic Items FAQ,” updated September 8, 2026, says earned cosmetics can be redeemed in the Reward Center under Inventory > Equipment and equipped in Customization. That is general cosmetic support guidance; it does not specifically confirm that the Myth of the Vault reward uses that claim flow.
