The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Early Access Beta began Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (PT). The Open Beta began Sunday, October 5, at 10 a.m. PT and was scheduled to end Wednesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. PT. Those dates have passed: the beta is over and cannot be joined now.

Call of Duty described the two windows as consecutive 72-hour periods. The schedule was announced in its Black Ops 7 editions and preorder benefits announcement; an August 2025 community update also gave the October 2–8 dates.
Did you need to preorder Black Ops 7?
For Early Access
Yes, unless you had an eligible Game Pass plan. Digital preorder holders received Early Access automatically and did not need a beta code. Select physical console preorders included a code to access the beta.
For the Open Beta
No preorder was needed. The Open Beta was free and open to all players across platforms, and an internet connection was required. Since the beta ended on October 8, 2025, neither preorder access nor open entry is available now.

Where the beta could be downloaded
The official Black Ops 7 beta guide listed the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam as download locations. It also specified that PC players needed TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
