What’s new in Borderlands 4?
Version 1.10: Story Pack 2, Bounty Pack 5, and a higher level cap
2K and Gearbox announced the September 10, 2026 release of Version 1.10, Story Pack 2, and Bounty Pack 5. The update raised the maximum level by 10 for all players. Story Pack 2 adds the Providence zone and a FL4K-focused story. Bounty Pack 5 brings an Amara-focused repeatable mission, bosses, loot, and Vault Card 5. 2K’s announcement says Loveless the Hacker is separately purchasable from Story Pack 2’s story and map content.

Which updates and DLC are free?
Not every numbered update’s content has the same price or availability. Version 1.8 added its Takedown, Circle of Slaughter, and cross-platform saves for free; Bounty Packs and Story Packs are paid content, though some are included in selected editions or bundles. The January 2026 update outlined planned content and features; later notes confirm that the named additions—including the second raid boss and Takedown—were released. What do the Borderlands 4 editions include?
The publisher’s FAQ distinguishes the editions by format and included DLC. It does not establish current retailer prices, so check the relevant platform store for current pricing and availability.

The official FAQ lists Steam, Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It describes crossplay across console types and with PC friends, but does not specify every possible platform pairing or limitation in its cited answer. Consult the official FAQ for the publisher’s current high-level platform and crossplay information.
