The encounter is introduced in the Below the Surface side mission and, according to Game8, can be replayed at the nearby Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine. Seventh Sense is a Jakobs Legendary pistol whose hits create orbs that home in on enemies when you reload.
Where to get Seventh Sense in Borderlands 4
Game8 lists Vile Ted and The Experiments as the dedicated source for Seventh Sense. Find them in Hydrus Sublab, in the Terminus District of Dominion. The pistol is a chance drop, not a guaranteed reward. Game8’s guide, last updated October 5, 2025, does not give a drop percentage.
How to farm the encounter
- Play the Below the Surface side mission to reach the Vile Ted and The Experiments encounter.
- After the mission, return to the encounter in Hydrus Sublab, Terminus District, Dominion.
- Use the nearby Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine to replay the bosses, as described by Game8, and repeat the fight for another chance at the pistol.
Game8 also notes that Seventh Sense may appear through regular Legendary loot sources, including red chests, golden key chests, and other bosses. Treat those as less targeted possibilities rather than a dependable route; no source here establishes their odds relative to the dedicated encounter.
Seventh Sense effect and specs
Seventh Sense is a Jakobs-manufactured Legendary pistol. Its Legendary effect, Proprioception, makes hits spawn orbs that float upward; the orbs home in on targets when you reload. Gearbox’s October 9, 2025 update notes say that Seventh Sense orb damage was increased by 250%. The notes give neither the original nor the resulting damage value.

What to expect from the drop
The available guide identifies a dedicated boss encounter but does not quantify its drop rate. There is no supported number of runs that guarantees Seventh Sense, so plan on repeating the fight rather than expecting a fixed kill count.
