Treat those drop claims as unconfirmed until you check the item card and current loot information in-game.
Where to find Skull Orchid
Nerd’s Chalk places the boss in the Embossed Fault Abandoned Auger Mine at the Grindstone of the Worthy, in Carcadia Burn. Its guide says to progress at least through “A Lot to Process” to reach the fight. A separate boss reference also lists the Embossed Fault Auger Mine, but does not provide the same route detail. Because the precise location and progression gate come from secondary guides, use the in-game map to confirm the route if the named area does not match your current map state.

Skull Orchid was listed as the Weekly Big Encore Boss in Gearbox’s February 19, 2026 minor update notes. That is a record of a past rotation, not confirmation that it is the active weekly boss now. Check the current in-game rotation before travelling specifically for a Weekly Big Encore encounter.
How to prepare for and fight Skull Orchid
Nerd’s Chalk recommends incendiary and cryo weapons and advises changing elements if Skull Orchid shifts its defenses. Its guide also recommends aiming at the mouth tendrils and watching for two attacks: ground slams and burrowing explosive flowers.

These are secondary-guide recommendations, not an officially published strategy or a verified guarantee of the fastest approach. Adjust your weapons and positioning to the defenses and attacks you see in your own encounter.
What does Skull Orchid drop?
Roach and Oak-Aged Cask recur across the secondary references, but the sources do not establish a definitive current loot pool or consistent item classifications.

Gearbox’s notes identify Skull Orchid as the Weekly Big Encore Boss for that update, which only verifies that historical rotation entry. They do not establish the active rotation on October 8, 2026; check the game for the current weekly boss.
