For the initial fight, follow the mission and arena marker in Upper Dominion. A fully verified turn-by-turn route from a particular fast-travel point is not established, so use the in-game marker rather than relying on guessed directions.
How to farm the Timekeeper again
Once you have completed The Timekeeper’s Order, you can return to the boss arena and interact with the nearby Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine to replay the encounter. The machine charges in-game cash for the rematch. Game8 describes this as the post-mission repeat method in its Timekeeper Drops and Location guide.

This standard arena replay is distinct from the weekly Big Encore boss activity, which Gearbox says rotates to a tougher variant. Gearbox’s January 15, 2026 update notes also describe rotating weekly Wildcard missions with a guaranteed Legendary reward. Those activities are time-sensitive and are not the same as paying to replay the standard Timekeeper encounter.
What does the Timekeeper drop?
For the base Timekeeper encounter, Game8 lists two Legendary sniper rifles, and a separate Game8 item guide identifies a possible shield drop:

- Out-of-This-World Adventure – Stranded on a lunar space station, Hugh encounters Diana, a mysterious android resembling a young girl. While searching for a way back to Earth, they fight to survive against Bots directed to “neutralize” intruders.
- Hack & Shoot – Use each character’s distinct abilities to take down enemies. In combat, Diana can hack foes to expose weaknesses so Hugh can blast them with weapons. This unique fusion of gameplay offers an action-packed experience like no other.
- Space Exploration – Teamwork also extends to traversing the station. Utilize the thrusters in Hugh’s futuristic suit to dash and hover around while Diana hacks security systems to solve puzzles. Only together can they overcome all obstacles.
- Collect and Customize – Gather materials while exploring the station to unlock upgrades, build out a diverse arsenal of weapons, obtain new outfits, and more. Once you’re ready, use the new gear in battle and take on even greater challenges!
| Possible drop | Item type | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Borstel Ballista | Legendary sniper rifle | Game8, “Timekeeper Drops and Location,” updated October 5, 2025 |
| Symmetry | Legendary sniper rifle | Game8, “Timekeeper Drops and Location,” updated October 5, 2025 |
| Timekeeper’s New Shield | Shield | Game8, “How to Get Timekeeper’s New Shield,” updated October 8, 2025 |
These are possible drops, not guaranteed rewards. No current item-specific drop percentages are established. Gearbox announced a permanent increase to dedicated boss drop rates on January 15, 2026, but its update notes do not give a Timekeeper-specific rate or quantify the increase. That announcement is not enough to calculate how many runs a particular item may take.
How to handle the Timekeeper fight
Match damage to the health segments
The Timekeeper’s health is split into shield (blue), armor (yellow) and flesh (red) segments. Game8 recommends opening with Shock damage against the shield, then switching to Corrosive against armor; it also lists Incendiary as a recommended damage type. Treat those as practical suggestions rather than requirements for every build.

Respond to the major attacks
The Epic Games Store’s boss guide by Jason Rodriguez, published September 11, 2025, describes lasers, outward-moving projectiles, a blinding blast and aerial phase transitions. It also describes a protected phase in which floating mechanisms attack. During that phase, grenades with split or lingering effects can help apply damage while the boss is protected.
- Blinding blast: Turn around quickly, about 180 degrees away from the flash.
- Aerial attacks: Glide toward safe areas instead of remaining in the attack path.
- Leap attack: Game8 advises using a dash to evade it.
- Laser beam: Game8 recommends crouching beneath the beam.
- Second Wind opportunity: Game8 notes that killing the flying Observer can provide a way back into the fight if you are downed.
These are encounter responses, not a guaranteed fastest-build or run-time strategy.

Keep the base boss separate from the Guardian form
The base Timekeeper and Primordial Guardian Timekeeper are different forms of the encounter. Do not assume loot associated with the Guardian form belongs to the base boss’s pool: the available separate listing names items such as Plasma Coil and Star Helix for the Guardian form. The base-boss drops discussed above are Borstel Ballista, Symmetry and Timekeeper’s New Shield.
