To get a Borderlands 4 Twitch Drop, link the intended Twitch account to the SHiFT account that should receive the reward, watch an eligible stream during an active campaign, claim the Drop on Twitch, then redeem it in Borderlands 4. A Twitch “Connect” prompt alone does not mean linking failed: check the account connection on the SHiFT website first.
1. Check for an active Borderlands 4 Drops campaign
Campaigns, rewards, and viewing requirements change. Check the official Borderlands 4 Twitch Drops guide and your Twitch Drops Inventory for the current campaign and its specific requirements. Whether a campaign is active on October 8, 2026 has not been established here, so check those live pages rather than relying on an older reward or schedule.

2. Link the correct Twitch and SHiFT accounts
- Sign in to the SHiFT account that should receive the Drop.
- Open Gaming Platforms and select Sign In beneath the Twitch icon.
- Authenticate with the Twitch account you plan to use for watching the campaign.
- Confirm that the intended Twitch account appears as connected on the SHiFT side before claiming a reward.
Borderlands Support advises linking before selecting Claim Reward on Twitch. If you use multiple Twitch or SHiFT accounts, double-check which ones are signed in: rewards are associated with the linked SHiFT account.
3. Earn progress by watching an eligible stream
Sign in to the linked Twitch account and watch a Borderlands 4 stream marked as Drops enabled for the active campaign. Follow the campaign’s stated watch requirement and check the stream callout or Drops Inventory for progress. Borderlands Support says progress can be earned on only one participating livestream at a time, so watching multiple eligible streams simultaneously does not speed up progress.

4. Claim the Drop on Twitch
Meeting the viewing requirement earns progress; it does not complete the claim. When Twitch notifies you that the reward is available, claim it through the notification or Drops Inventory. Borderlands Support says to claim within 24 hours of the award notification. Twitch’s Drops help likewise distinguishes earning and claiming on Twitch from the game developer’s delivery of the reward.
5. Redeem and find the reward in Borderlands 4
- Launch Borderlands 4 and open Inventory.
- Choose Equipment, then Reward Center.
- Redeem the reward there. For equipment such as guns, ordinance, or shields, check the Vault Hunter that redeemed it.
- For cosmetics, open the Customization tab to equip the item.
Borderlands Support says a claimed reward is added to the linked SHiFT account within 24 hours. Its guide lists Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 for automatic delivery when the SHiFT account is linked in Borderlands 4. That guide was updated September 12, 2025; check the current support information if platform availability matters to your setup.

What if Twitch still says “Connect” or the reward is missing?
Twitch shows “Connect,” but SHiFT lists the account as connected
Borderlands Support says Twitch may continue to show a Connect button even when the accounts are linked. If the correct Twitch account is listed as connected under SHiFT’s Gaming Platforms, the support guide says you should be set. Do not unlink and relink solely because Twitch still displays that prompt.
You claimed the Drop, but it has not appeared in-game
- Check Twitch Drops Inventory and make sure the reward status is claimed, not merely earned.
- Confirm that the Twitch account was linked to the SHiFT account you are using in Borderlands 4.
- Allow the stated delivery window of up to 24 hours, then check Inventory > Equipment > Reward Center.
- Restarting the game may help it resync, but it is not guaranteed to fix a missing reward.
- If the reward is still missing after these checks, contact 2K Support. Twitch handles its side of earning and claiming; delivery into a game is handled by the developer.
You are considering unlinking or switching accounts
Check which SHiFT account is connected before changing anything. 2K warns that Twitch Drop and SHiFT-code content is tied to the SHiFT account and that unlinking a platform account can remove access. See the Borderlands 4 DLC, bonus content, and cosmetic items FAQ for its account-link guidance.
