Game8 notes that the rifle may also come from other Legendary loot sources, including red chests, golden key chests, and other bosses. It does not provide odds for those sources, so they are less specific farming options than targeting The Timekeeper.

How to farm The Timekeeper

1. Reach the story encounter. Progress through “The Timekeeper’s Order” until you fight The Timekeeper in Upper Dominion’s Terminus District.
2. Complete the encounter. Borstel Ballista can drop from the boss, but it is not guaranteed on a given attempt.
3. Repeat the fight after the story battle. Return to the arena and use the nearby Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine to replay the encounter, as described in Game8’s Borstel Ballista guide.
4. Check the loot after each attempt. If the rifle does not drop, repeat the encounter or pursue the broader Legendary sources noted above.

Which farming option should you choose?

• For a focused attempt: Farm The Timekeeper. It is the named source for Borstel Ballista, and the Big Encore Machine provides a way to repeat the fight after the story encounter.
• If you are already opening loot or fighting other bosses: Those activities may also yield the rifle according to Game8, but the guide does not quantify their chances.
