Does the second player need to buy the full game?
Not necessarily. EA says one player must own the full game for both players to access the full adventure. The other player can download Friend’s Pass from the relevant platform store and join them. EA lists the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam Store, and EA App as download options on its Friend’s Pass page.
#1 Best Overall
- Face thrilling, unpredictable challenges as you explore distinctive hand-crafted lands through deeply immersive and expressive controls.
- PERILOUS PLATFORMING EXPERIENCE - Explore here, there and everywhere as you utilize Sackboy’s cool, diverse move-set to face a huge variety of thrilling challenges, fierce enemies and startling surprises.
- RE-STUFFED. RE-STITCHED. RE-ZIPPED - Sackboy returns to the big time stuffed with fresh moves and game-changing gadgets in an awe-inspiring and downright fun 3D adventure in this new, but familiar world.
Can you try it if neither player owns it?
Yes. EA says Friend’s Pass lets two players try the first chapter together in either local or online co-op when neither owns the full game. This is a limited trial, not a way to play the full adventure for free or play alone.
What do you need for online co-op?
Both players need a way to access online play on their chosen platform. EA Help’s Spanish-language support page says both players need the platform’s online subscription to play together online. Because subscription rules depend on platform, country, and subscription tier, check the current requirements for your specific setup with the relevant platform’s store or support service. The EA Help page is Cómo jugar It Takes Two.
