Yes—both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have achievement-rate tracking in their Nintendo Switch 2 Editions. The feature is called ZELDA NOTES and is accessed through the Nintendo Switch App; it tracks progress in game activities such as clearing shrines and discovering Koroks. It is specific to these editions, not evidence of a universal Switch 2 trophy system.

How Zelda achievement tracking works on Switch 2

Nintendo’s ZELDA NOTES service works with the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of both games. In the Nintendo Switch App, it lets players check achievement rates for selected in-game elements, including shrine completion and Korok discoveries. Nintendo describes this as a Zelda-specific companion feature, rather than a console-wide system for trophies or achievements. Nintendo’s ZELDA NOTES overview explains the service and its supported games.

Which editions include ZELDA NOTES?

What else changes in the Switch 2 Editions?

Breath of the Wild

Nintendo lists higher resolution, smoother visuals, and faster loading among the improvements for the Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The edition is listed as available now on Nintendo’s product page.

Tears of the Kingdom

Nintendo lists higher resolution, smoother visuals, and faster loading for the Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, released June 5, 2025. It also adds a second save slot. Nintendo notes that a save created in that additional slot cannot be transferred to the original Nintendo Switch version.
