In Roblox’s Build the Pyramid! by Janitors Studios, progression comes from delivering blocks to the shared pyramid, then improving the part of that loop slowing you down. Start by mining and carrying a block to the build area; place it, then decide whether strength, travel speed, or an upgrade is the best next step. This guide is for that specific experience, not other Roblox pyramid games.
How progression works
The official Roblox experience listing describes the core loop: “Mine massive stone blocks.” “Load them onto your sled and drag them across the desert.” “Place each block to help construct the pyramid.” Building contributes to the shared objective, while the game lets players earn money for better tools, sleds, and upgrades. It also includes strength and speed training.
A beginner guide frames the sequence as pickup, carry, place, then improve. In practice, each completed delivery gives you a chance to see which part of the next one needs attention.
What should you do next?
- Deliver a block. Mine or pick up a block, carry it to the pyramid, and place it to advance the shared build.
- Identify the bottleneck. If you cannot carry enough, focus on strength; if the trip takes too long, focus on speed. If pickup, placement, or equipment is the friction point, look for an upgrade that addresses it.
- Train or spend coins accordingly. An independent progression guide recommends strength for carrying and speed for travel, and describes benches and treadmills as training options. It also recommends using coin purchases or multipliers when they make later progress more efficient. This is that guide’s suggested route, not an official developer sequence or a tested universal best build.
- Return to building and reassess. Make another delivery, then check the live game for pyramid completion and the next gym threshold before committing to a longer-term target.
There is no published comparison establishing one universally optimal order for stats or upgrades. Choose based on the slowdown you actually notice rather than buying every available improvement at once.

Reported free gym milestones
The independent BUILD THE PYRAMID! Wiki records the following free gym multiplier checkpoints. The wiki’s page, accessed October 8, 2026, does not publish the formula between these observations; treat them as reported milestones, not a guaranteed current ladder.

Use these checkpoints as orientation, then rely on the requirement displayed in your current game. The Roblox listing showed an update date of September 3, 2026, while an independent progression page discusses changes on September 19, 22, and 25. That page says the September 25 update had no patch notes published outside the studio Discord, so public descriptions may not capture every current requirement.

Can you progress without gamepasses?
An independent player guide says the basic building, coin-upgrade, and ordinary training route is playable without buying gamepasses; it characterizes passes as optional shortcuts or features. That distinction does not establish that every feature is free, nor that a pass is needed for ordinary building. Prices and availability can change: the cited catalogue snapshot was checked October 1, 2026, so confirm any current offer in the game rather than relying on old pricing.
