You can pick it up from a corpse in Dragonbarrow Cave in Caelid, on the left-hand route around the Runebear’s patrol area. You do not need to defeat the bear or finish the cave to retrieve it.
What does Bull-Goat’s Talisman do?
The talisman’s stated effect is “Raises poise.” Poise affects how many hits you can take before being staggered, which can make the talisman useful when facing aggressive opponents, including in PvP. It does not guarantee that every attack will leave you uninterrupted.
The exact numerical increase is not stated consistently across the available item references, so this guide does not give a percentage. Consider the talisman’s poise benefit against the opportunity cost of using one of your talisman slots, along with your armor and whether you are focused on PvE or PvP.
Where to find Bull-Goat’s Talisman
Look for it in Dragonbarrow Cave, in Caelid. Game8 places the cave east of the Dragonbarrow Fork Site of Grace and the talisman to the left of the roaming Runebear. Game8’s location guide and GameSpot’s route description both identify the cave and bear as landmarks.

Retrieval route
- Travel to Dragonbarrow Cave in Caelid, east of the Dragonbarrow Fork Site of Grace.
- Inside the cave, follow the left-hand route toward the Runebear’s patrol area. Treat the bear as a hazard to navigate around, not a boss you must defeat for the item.
- Continue along the left route to the dead end and loot the corpse to obtain Bull-Goat’s Talisman.
GameSpot notes that you can collect the talisman without completing the cave. If the bear blocks the path, focus on reaching the corpse and leaving rather than clearing the cave.

GameSpot reproduces the in-game item description as: “A talisman depicting the horns of a bull-goat. Raises poise. Bull-goats are associated with the stout and mighty Tragoth, said to be unflinching in combat – now a silent comrade to those who fight.” The description names Great Horned Tragoth, but does not by itself establish additional details about the character.
