To run Bus Simulator 27 on PC, the official minimum requirements call for 64-bit Windows 11, a Core i3-12100 or Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, DirectX 12, and 20 GB of free storage. The recommended specifications are higher—and the recommended Intel CPU differs between the official FAQ and storefront listings—so compare your components against both tiers before deciding.
Bus Simulator 27 PC system requirements
The specifications below are listed by the official Bus Simulator 27 FAQ. Steam and Epic list a different Intel processor in the recommended row; that discrepancy is detailed after the table.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 11 | 64-bit Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X | Intel Core i7-14100KF (official FAQ); Steam and Epic list Core i3-14100KF |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 32 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 | Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | 20 GB free space | 20 GB free space |
These are requirement tiers, not an FPS guarantee. The sources do not give a named, dated benchmark result that would support a reliable frame-rate estimate.
Recommended CPU discrepancy: FAQ versus Steam and Epic
The official FAQ names a Core i7-14100KF for recommended specifications, while the Steam and Epic listings say Core i3-14100KF. The remaining recommended components align. Because the listings conflict, neither CPU entry should be treated as conclusively authoritative; check the current official FAQ and store page before relying on that row.

How to check whether your PC meets the requirements
- Find your system details. In Windows, check the processor, installed memory, Windows edition and version, and graphics card in Task Manager or System Information. In File Explorer, check that the drive you plan to use has at least 20 GB free.
- Compare each component with the minimum row. Check the exact processor and graphics card models, not just the brand or a similar-sounding product name. Confirm that Windows is 64-bit Windows 11 and that DirectX 12 is supported.
- Compare against recommended if you want to assess the higher target. In particular, note the 32 GB RAM and higher graphics-card tier, as well as the conflicting Intel CPU listing. Meeting recommended specifications still does not guarantee a specific frame rate.
- Use the game’s initial settings detection as a starting point. The Bus Simulator team says its integrated hardware detection scans the PC at first launch and automatically chooses settings. The team also advises comparing CPU, GPU, and RAM individually and using the weakest component as the baseline (Steam announcement, September 25, 2026).
If one of your components is below minimum or hard to compare with the listed models, the published requirements do not establish that the game will run well on your particular PC.
What to adjust if performance is poor
Use the actual limiting component to guide settings changes. The developer’s suggestions are general tuning guidance, not independently tested fixes or a promise of stable performance.

If the CPU is the bottleneck
Reduce AI vehicle and pedestrian density first. Graphics options such as resolution or DLSS are not a reliable fix for a CPU limit; the developer specifically cautions that DLSS and frame generation do not resolve CPU bottlenecks.
If the GPU is the bottleneck
If your graphics card supports it, try DLSS. The developer also suggests lowering global illumination, shadows, reflections or effects, or resolution. Change settings in measured steps so you can tell which adjustment helps.
