Early Access was followed by a free Open Beta for all players; the timed Call of Duty: NEXT reward that granted Early Access has also expired.
When did the Black Ops 7 beta start and end?
Activision scheduled two back-to-back 72-hour phases in 2025. Early Access began Thursday, October 2, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The free Open Beta began Sunday, October 5, at 10 a.m. PT, and ended Wednesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. PT. The dates and times were published in Activision’s official beta announcement.

Internet access was required. Activision’s statement that players who did not preorder could still access the Open Beta applied to that 2025 event, not to a beta that remains available now.
How did players get a beta code?
For the 2025 Early Access phase, digital edition preorders received access automatically and did not need a beta code. Physical console preorders from select retailers were supposed to receive a code at the point of sale. Once the public Open Beta began, anyone could join without either a preorder or a code.

What were the first Call of Duty: NEXT code drops?
Activision’s Call of Duty: NEXT reward ladder tied timed rewards to viewing the September 30, 2025 event. The 60-minute Early Access reward was available on Twitch only. Rewards had to be redeemed within 48 hours of the event, and regional and other eligibility restrictions applied. That window has passed; these were limited-time event rewards, not an ongoing code giveaway.

What was included in the beta?
Xbox Wire described a 30-level progression track. Custom Loadouts and weapon and gear customization unlocked at level 4. The listed transferable rewards included the “Beta Player” emblem at level 2 and the “Beta Legend” M15 Mod 0 weapon blueprint at level 30.

The beta also featured Zombies Survival on Vandorn Farm for a limited time beginning October 3, 2025. The Open Beta phase added the Blackheart and Toshin multiplayer maps. No. The beta ended on October 8, 2025, and the Call of Duty: NEXT reward redemption period was limited to 48 hours after the September 30 event. There is no current way to earn or redeem those beta-access rewards.

Activision Support lists separate Black Ops 7 purchase promotions, but they grant in-game content rather than access to the ended beta. Examples include select Monster Energy purchases, qualifying Little Caesars purchases, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Performance Thumbsticks from KontrolFreek. Their products, rules, and availability differ by promotion and region; check Activision’s current bonus-content page for the applicable terms. Do not mistake those offers for beta codes.
