This is the launch roster—not a complete inventory of weapons added in later seasons. The list and unlock levels below are for launch weapons; seasonal additions are identified separately.
What guns are in Black Ops 7?
The 30 launch weapons break down into six assault rifles, six SMGs, three shotguns, two LMGs, three marksman rifles, three sniper rifles, three pistols, two launchers and two melee weapons.

How do you unlock launch weapons in Black Ops 7?
Activision’s launch guide lists player-level unlocks for the weapons below. Any launch weapon not listed in its unlock-criteria table is available immediately. These levels apply to the launch roster, not later seasonal additions.

The launch weapons available immediately under the guide’s rule are M15 MOD 0, Ryden 45K, M10 Breacher, MK.78, VS Recon, Jäger 45, AAROW 109 and Knife.

Which weapons were added after launch?
Season 01’s official content page names six post-launch weapons: Sturmwolf 45, Kogot-7, Maddox RFB, Ballistic Knife, NX Ravager and Hawker HX. Season 01 Reloaded specifically details the Hawker HX sniper rifle and Sturmwolf 45 SMG. These are additions, not part of the 30-weapon launch count.
Later official seasonal pages also document weapons including the REV-46 in Season 02; Strider 300 and other weapons in Season 03; VX Compact and further content in Season 04; FG42, Gremlin, Mammoth and Mace in Season 05; and VMP, TR51 Para, Arcblade and Roc 20mm in Season 06. Availability can depend on mode and event unlocks, so this is not a claim that every named weapon is currently usable in every mode. Consult the relevant Season 01, Season 01 Reloaded, Season 02, Season 03, Season 04, Season 05 and Season 06 pages and the current in-game menus for mode-specific details.

A blueprint or attachment is not a separate weapon. Seasonal pages can cover blueprints, variants, attachments and scorestreaks alongside new guns, so distinguish those when counting weapons.

The official launch guide gives weapon descriptions and unlock criteria; use its stated characteristics to narrow the list by role rather than treating the class label as a performance ranking. Relevant comparison points include fire mode, damage and range descriptions, recoil, handling and mobility, magazine capacity, and supported attachment types.

In its September 2025 multiplayer deep dive, Activision described Gunsmith features including Global Weapon Builds, stat comparisons and build sharing. Use those in-game tools to compare setups. The publisher also said 16 launch weapons were debuting in Call of Duty franchise history; that refers to the franchise, not proof that the designs are new real-world firearms. Neither launch descriptions nor franchise debut status establishes which gun is strongest. A “best” pick depends on mode, build and current balance.
