What is the campaign about?
The campaign follows the events of Modern Warfare III and takes the conflict to Korea and other international locations. Activision names Korea, New York, Paris, and Mumbai among its settings, describing trench fighting, close-quarters combat, chases, night raids, and operations to reclaim occupied territory. The player character Private Park is a young South Korean soldier entering combat with his squad. Captain Price operates outside the system he previously served, while Xbox Wire describes his pursuit of Vladimir Makarov as part of the continuing story.

How does DMZ work in Modern Warfare 4?
DMZ is presented as an extraction mode, not simply another standard multiplayer playlist. Players enter the Hajin Exclusion Zone, pursue objectives, loot, fight or negotiate with other players, and try to extract. Activision says it can be played solo or in a squad; the official hub also lists story missions, dynamic operations, player encounters, and progression between matches.
