No—not while the broadcast is live. YouTube excludes live streams and Premieres from Super Thanks during the event, including continuous streams; an archived long-form replay may become eligible afterward. Eligible creators in India can use Super Chat and Super Stickers for support during the broadcast, subject to YouTube’s feature requirements.
When Super Thanks can apply to a 24/7 stream
Super Thanks is for eligible videos, not for a live broadcast in progress. YouTube’s eligibility page says “Live streams or Premieres, while live (available on archived long-form videos afterwards).” It does not give a special exception for a stream that runs for 24 hours or longer. YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility, availability, and policies therefore distinguish the live event from its possible replay.
After the stream ends, its archived long-form video may qualify for Super Thanks. That is not automatic: both the channel and the individual replay have to meet the relevant requirements. YouTube’s policy does not guarantee how every very long stream will be archived or segmented, so check the resulting video and its feature availability rather than assuming a particular broadcast will have an eligible replay.
What viewers can use during the broadcast
For live support, YouTube’s relevant features are Super Chat and Super Stickers. Super Chat can highlight a viewer’s message in live chat; Super Stickers let viewers purchase an animated image that appears there. They are separate from Super Thanks, and availability depends on the channel’s eligibility and live-chat settings. See YouTube’s Super Chat and Super Stickers eligibility, availability, and policies.

India availability and eligibility are separate checks
India is among the creator locations where YouTube lists Super Thanks as available. Location alone does not grant access: a channel must meet YouTube’s fan-funding minimum requirements, be in a supported location, accept and comply with applicable terms and policies (including the Commerce Product Module), and satisfy the channel criteria. YouTube says channels set as Made for Kids—or with a significant number of videos set as Made for Kids or otherwise ineligible—may not qualify.
YouTube’s current monetization overview, accessed in 2026, lists these YouTube Partner Program thresholds. They are entry thresholds for the listed YPP tiers, not a guarantee that Super Thanks is available; YouTube says individual features have their own requirements. See YouTube’s monetization overview.

If the channel has access, look for the Supers tab in YouTube Studio’s Earn section. For an individual long-form video or Short, YouTube lists exclusions including age-restricted, unlisted, private, Made for Kids, copyright-claimed, and YouTube Giving fundraiser videos, as well as videos with comments turned off. A live stream or Premiere is excluded while live; an archived long-form video may be eligible afterward.
How to check the replay after a stream
- Wait until the stream has ended and YouTube has processed the archive.
- In YouTube Studio, check the channel’s Earn section for a Supers tab. If it is not available, the channel may not have access to the feature.
- Check the replay’s visibility, audience and restrictions, copyright status, fundraiser association, and comment settings against YouTube’s video eligibility rules.
- Check whether Super Thanks is actually offered on the replay in YouTube Studio or the viewer experience. A qualifying location or an eligible channel alone does not establish that this particular archive qualifies.
Revenue share and the legal distinction
YouTube says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google after local sales tax and applicable iOS App Store fees are deducted. YouTube currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees. This is YouTube’s stated general calculation, not a way to predict a specific creator’s Indian payout without the transaction’s tax and billing details. YouTube’s Super Thanks buyer guidance explains the calculation.
