Not as an officially supported native connection. Sony’s DualSense compatibility information does not list PS3. A third-party adapter, the MAYFLASH MAGIC-S PRO 2, is listed by its manufacturer as compatible with both PS3 and DualSense, but that does not guarantee every game or controller feature will work.
What works, and what is officially supported?
Sony’s DualSense compatibility information covers supported operating systems, devices and uses, but does not list PS3. The accurate takeaway is that Sony does not document the DualSense as officially supported on PS3—not that every possible wired or wireless connection is impossible.
A USB cable or Bluetooth pairing alone should not be treated as proof that a DualSense will work properly with PS3 games. The reviewed Sony guidance does not establish native PS3 support or promise that the controller’s features will function there.
Options for using a DualSense with PS3

How to try the adapter route
- Before buying, check MAYFLASH’s current MAGIC-S PRO 2 product information for compatibility and firmware details.
- Follow the adapter manufacturer’s current setup and firmware instructions to connect the adapter to the PS3 and pair the DualSense. The product listing establishes compatibility claims, but does not provide a guarantee for every setup or game.
- Test the games and controls you intend to use. Do not assume that every button, feature or game will behave as it would with a PS3 controller.
Why Remote Play is not a solution
PlayStation Remote Play streams games from PS4 and PS5 consoles to supported devices. It is not a way to stream PS3 games, and using a DualSense with Remote Play does not make the controller natively compatible with a PS3.
