The desktop NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is listed by Activision as a recommended graphics card for Warzone, with a target of 60 FPS in most situations at high settings. That is a system-level target, not a guarantee for every PC or match: resolution, CPU, memory, settings and updates can all affect performance.
What Activision’s requirements say
Activision’s PC requirements, updated March 11, 2026, apply to desktop PCs. The RTX 3060 appears in the recommended tier, which targets “60FPS in most situations with all options set to high.” The same page says requirements can change and mandatory updates may require additional storage. See Activision’s current PC system requirements.
| Tier | CPU | RAM | GPU | VRAM | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600 | 8 GB | AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970/1060, or Intel Arc A580 | 3 GB | SSD with 116 GB available at launch |
| Recommended | AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K | 12 GB | AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, or Intel Arc B580 | 8 GB | SSD with 116 GB available |
| Competitive / Ultra 4K | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i7-10700K | 16 GB | AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080/5070 | 12 GB | SSD with 116 GB available |
These tiers make clear that the GPU is only one part of the recommendation. The requirements page also specifies current 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, DirectX 12 compatibility, broadband internet, an SSD, and an Intel or AMD processor that supports AVX.
What FPS can you expect from an RTX 3060?
Activision does not publish a guaranteed RTX 3060 frame rate for each resolution, preset or PC configuration. The figures below are estimates generated by FPSCalculator.net, updated March 30, 2026; they are not controlled benchmark measurements, and actual results can differ. View the estimator’s RTX 3060 Warzone estimates.

| Resolution and preset | Estimated average FPS | Estimated 1% low |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p, competitive-low | 139 | 92 |
| 1080p, high | 111 | 74 |
| 1440p, high | 82 | 52 |
| 1440p, ultra | 62 | 39 |
| 4K, high | 51 | 30 |
Use those numbers as rough planning context rather than a promise for your machine. Lower resolution and competitive settings are associated with higher estimates; moving to 1440p or 4K and heavier presets lowers them. Your exact result cannot be inferred from the GPU name alone.
Desktop and laptop RTX 3060s are not interchangeable
Activision’s recommendation identifies desktop graphics cards. Its requirements page cautions that some laptop GPUs with similar names may be different models and may not be supported. If your 3060 is in a laptop, the desktop recommendation does not establish that your system will meet the same performance target; check the laptop’s exact GPU and the game’s current requirements.

Check the rest of the PC before troubleshooting FPS
- Processor and memory: Activision’s recommended tier names a Ryzen 5 1600X or Core i7-6700K and 12 GB RAM. A slower CPU or insufficient memory can constrain overall performance even when the GPU is a 3060.
- Storage and operating system: the listed requirements call for an SSD with 116 GB available, plus an up-to-date 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 installation.
- Game compatibility: the system needs DirectX 12 compatibility, broadband internet and an Intel or AMD processor supporting AVX.
- Security prerequisites: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are also required for Warzone; graphics capability alone does not satisfy them. Read Activision’s TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot guidance.
How to improve or diagnose performance
If performance or graphics are not behaving as expected, Activision’s troubleshooting guidance starts with checking system requirements, updating Windows and using applicable graphics drivers. Driver recommendations can change, so consult the live requirements page for the current version listed for your GPU vendor and device class. Open Activision’s Warzone PC troubleshooting guide.
For a practical settings decision, start with the resolution and preset you actually want to play at. If your frame rate is below your target, lower demanding graphics options or use a less demanding preset, then reassess; an estimate or settings recipe cannot account for every CPU, patch and match. A historical RTX 3060 12GB recording with a Ryzen 9 5950X was published in February 2021, but its age and test conditions make it unsuitable as a current-build performance guarantee.
