Yes. Golett can be shiny in Pokémon GO: Niantic confirmed it as a possible shiny encounter from Field Research during Halloween 2024 Part I. That confirms the shiny has been released, but it does not show that Golett is available from Field Research—or any other encounter source—now.
When was shiny Golett confirmed?
Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2024 Part I announcement listed Golett among the Pokémon players could encounter by completing Field Research tasks. The announcement marked the listed encounters as potentially shiny. That event ran October 22–28, 2024, in local time.

This is dated evidence of shiny eligibility, not a current encounter listing. Event reward pools rotate, so the 2024 task should not be treated as an active way to find Golett.
Can you find Golett for a shiny check now?
The official sources available here do not establish an active Golett encounter source as of October 8, 2026. The Halloween 2025 Part I announcement describes that event’s featured encounters, but it is not a complete catalog of current spawns. Check current Pokémon GO event announcements for which Pokémon may be encountered or made available as shiny, as Niantic advises in its Help Center article.

How do you tell whether an encountered Golett is shiny?
Check the encounter screen for the shiny icon above Golett’s CP. Niantic describes wild shiny encounters as random and also identifies raids, research rewards, and other rewards as possible encounter channels in general. That does not mean Golett is currently available through any particular channel.
