No. Square Enix says a SQUARE ENIX ID cannot be updated after the account is created. If you forgot the ID, use the account recovery option; if you meant your registered email address, that can be changed separately.
Can you change a SQUARE ENIX ID?
No. The Square Enix Support Center states: “Once your SQUARE ENIX account is created, you cannot update your SQUARE ENIX ID, first/last name, date of birth, and country/region.” The FAQ provides no ID-renaming process: Changing your e-mail address and other account details.

This rule concerns the SQUARE ENIX ID used for a Square Enix Account. It is not the same as changing the email address registered to that account.
If you forgot your ID, recover it
Use the Account Management System’s “Forgot your ID or password?” option rather than trying to submit an ID-change request. Follow the recovery prompts to regain access: I forgot my Square Enix ID/Password and Security Question & Answer.

Changing your registered email address
Your registered email address is a separate account detail and can be updated in the Account Management System. Square Enix’s instructions give this route:
- Sign in to the Account Management System.
- Open Account Information.
- Select Update Account Information, then Update e-mail address.
- Open the confirmation link sent to the new email address to complete the change. Square Enix says the link expires after 24 hours.

Other account details have separate rules
Square Enix says certain corrections to a name or date of birth may be considered if you contact support and provide official identity documents. This is a conditional correction process, not a way to change the SQUARE ENIX ID, and approval is not guaranteed. See How do I change my registered information?.

Before creating a separate account, check the consequences for the particular game or service you use. Square Enix’s cited guidance does not establish what would happen to existing subscriptions, purchases, characters, or entitlements.
