Yes—but only EA games you own on Steam appear in Steam as Steam library purchases. Linking your EA Account to Steam connects the accounts; it does not transfer an EA app purchase into your Steam library. For a game bought through the EA app, use the EA app to install and play it. You can add a locally installed EA game to Steam as a non-Steam shortcut, but that does not give you Steam ownership or Steam-delivered updates.
What account linking does—and doesn’t do
EA typically prompts you to link accounts the first time you launch an EA game through Steam. To link them yourself, sign in to your EA Account, open Connected Accounts, choose Steam, then sign in to Steam and complete the prompts. You can return to Connected Accounts to check which platform accounts are linked. The EA app may need to be installed.
Linking connects your accounts for supported platform features; it is not a purchase transfer. EA does not describe linking as converting an EA app purchase into a Steam entitlement. Most EA games also require an EA Account, even when played through Steam, and some Steam versions still need the EA app to launch. Requirements vary by title. See EA’s EA Account setup guide.
Will an EA app purchase show up in Steam?
No—not as a Steam-owned game merely because your EA Account is linked. EA app purchases are added to the EA app Library, while Steam purchases are managed and installed through the Steam Library. Look in the store where you bought the game to find the corresponding library entry.

Can I add an EA game to Steam as a shortcut?
Yes, if the game is installed on your computer. In Steam, use Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library to create a shortcut for locally installed software. Valve says this is only a shortcut: it does not let you download updates through Steam and is not proof that you own the game on Steam. It does not import or transfer the game. Why is my EA game missing from its library?
First check where you bought the game and which account is signed in. Then troubleshoot the library that should contain the purchase.

If you expected it in Steam
- Confirm you are signed in to the Steam account that bought the game.
- Check library filters and Hidden Games, and verify that the purchase completed.
- If it still does not appear, sign out of Steam and back in. See Steam’s missing-games help.
If you expected it in the EA app
- Check the order and payment status. If the purchase is not in the order history, check whether you used another EA Account.
- Check whether access depends on an active EA Play membership.
- Refresh the app by clearing its cache or signing out and back in.
- Look for the full game in the Library. DLC and expansion packs are managed under the relevant game’s add-ons, not as separate full-game entries.

Do not unlink and relink to another EA Account on the assumption that purchases or progress will move safely. EA recommends recovering the original account when possible and warns users to understand the risks before changing links. Review its account-linking guidance before making a change.
