The “Show current experience” setting controls which audience can see what you’re playing; it is not a switch that makes activity invisible to Roblox. What “private game” means also matters: hiding profile activity, joining a private server, and limiting access to an experience are different situations.
What Roblox’s visibility setting hides
To choose who can see the experience you’re currently playing, open Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility. Under Show current experience, select an available audience. Roblox says, “Anyone outside your set preference will not see the experience you are playing.” The options depend on age and region, and limiting one visibility control may affect related settings. Roblox Support: Online Status and Visibility.
This control is about what other users can see. It is separate from your online-status audience and from Share activity updates, which governs updates friends receive about recent in-experience activity. Check each control rather than assuming one setting hides every signal about your activity.
Can Roblox itself see or process your activity?
Hiding your current experience from other users does not establish that Roblox cannot process information about your gameplay. Roblox’s privacy policy describes connecting information about how people use its services to their accounts. Examples include game-state information used to detect terms violations and improve detection, device-interaction behavior for security and safety, and information about games played for recommendations. “Private game” can mean different things
Roblox’s current-experience visibility control directly addresses whether other users can see what you are playing. It does not by itself answer who can join a particular server, who can access a creator’s restricted experience, or what information that experience’s creator can view about an individual player.

Trusted friends may be able to view and interact with content created by trusted friends, and may appear as a privacy audience depending on age group and region. Roblox Support: Trusted Connections. That possibility is another reason not to assume a single “private” label has the same effect across profiles, servers, and creator-published experiences.

No general exemption is established. Roblox says it uses moderators and automated systems to identify behavior that may violate its policies. Uploaded images, meshes, audio, and video go through review, and experiences are evaluated when published or updated; flagged experiences may be evaluated by a human team. This does not establish identical review of every private experience or what a creator can inspect about a specific player. Roblox Support.
