A Sim can name one or more beneficiary households and divide the bequest by percentage. The percentage is applied to the Sim’s funds: EA’s example is that 25% of §20,000 equals §5,000. A Sim can also leave money to charity. EA’s will guide
The will is broader than a money transfer: it can also assign dependents and heirloom objects. When the will is executed, heirlooms go to the designated household’s inventory. The official guidance describes choices for Simoleons, dependents, and heirlooms—not an automatic transfer of the deceased Sim’s lot.

Have the recipient household read it
- After the Sim dies, the household left something receives a copy of the will in its mailbox.
- After the next mail delivery, the will is added to a Sim’s personal inventory.
- Select Read Will Out Loud. The bequest is deposited when the will is read.
Which Sims game do you mean?
Inheritance varies between The Sims editions, so the Life & Death will process should not be assumed to apply to every game. EA’s official Royalty & Legacy page discusses a separate form of inheritance involving dynasty prestige or titles; that is not the same as inheriting Simoleons. EA’s Royalty & Legacy page

- The Sims 4 and the Life & Death Expansion Pack.
- A will that names the intended beneficiary household and assigns its share.
- A Sim in that household to read the will after it arrives.
