A search result for the game showed a US promotional price of $2.99, reduced from a listed $4.99. The search snippet did not state when the discount started or when it ends, so do not assume it is still active.
Regional pricing varies
When the Steam page was opened directly, it displayed a Polish regional price instead of the US figure. That is the practical point: the storefront shows the price that applies to the region it is set to, and the number a friend in another country sees may be different.

How to check the current price yourself
- Open the Among Us page on the Steam store at store.steampowered.com and search for “Among Us” if you arrive elsewhere.
- Look at the purchase box on the right side of the page. The price shown there is the one that applies to your Steam account’s region.
- If the box shows a discount, check whether a sale end date appears nearby before relying on that price.
- If you see a “Free” label on a page that is not on Steam or Innersloth’s own site, compare it against the Steam listing before downloading anything, since the official PC listing does not show a free download.
What the game is
Innersloth describes Among Us as a party game built around teamwork and betrayal. Crewmates complete tasks, while one or more Impostors try to eliminate them or avoid being caught. The official game page does not attribute this description to a named individual.
The Steam listing says the PC version supports online and local play for 4 to 15 players. It also lists cross-platform multiplayer across PC, console, Android, and iOS, which means players on different devices can join the same match where that feature is available.

Release and update dates
Steam lists the PC release date as November 16, 2018. Innersloth’s official site displayed game updates dated September 9, September 29, and October 1, 2026 when checked, so the game is still receiving updates. The sources checked did not identify a specific current version number, so check the patch notes on Steam or Innersloth’s site if you need one.

Where a free claim can come from
A headline promising a free PC download does not match the official Steam listing. Before you download an installer from any other site, confirm three things: the page is Steam or Innersloth’s official site, the price matches what Steam shows for your region, and the offer applies to the PC edition rather than a mobile version. The sources reviewed for this article do not establish that a free mobile offer also makes the PC edition free.
Merchandise is listed on Innersloth’s official site, but buying merchandise does not provide a PC download. It is a separate purchase.
