There is no reliably verifiable, currently supported native Windows download of GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience from Gameloft. The game originally launched as a free-to-download mobile title, and it had historical Windows availability, but its old Microsoft Store listing no longer appears to provide a dependable current installation route. You may still be able to run an Android build through an emulator such as GameLoop or BlueStacks if the game remains in that emulator’s catalog. That is Android emulation—not a native Windows release—and online features may no longer work.
What GT Racing 2 originally was
Gameloft launched GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience in 2013. Its launch announcement promoted free downloads for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android, with a free-to-play model rather than a conventional paid PC release. The announcement is available from Gameloft’s newsroom.

Historical references also associate the game with Windows Apps and Windows Phone. That historical availability should not be confused with a verified Windows 10 or Windows 11 release that is currently maintained and downloadable.

Is GT Racing 2 still available from the Microsoft Store?
The old Microsoft Store entry does not currently provide a reliable product-download page in the reviewed results. The associated Microsoft Apps link resolves to a related-apps page, and PCGamingWiki records the listing as unavailable.
You can still perform a quick, legitimate check:
- Open Microsoft Store in Windows.
- Search for GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience.
- If a product page appears, check that it has an active Get or Install button.
- Confirm the publisher and supported device before installing.
Microsoft says an app may be missing because it was removed, restricted in your region, or deemed incompatible with your device. If the Store itself is malfunctioning, Microsoft’s troubleshooting guidance recommends opening Run, entering wsreset.exe, and searching again. If the game remains absent, do not download a supposed Microsoft Store package from a third-party site. A missing Store listing is not evidence that an unofficial installer is legitimate.

How to try the Android version through an emulator
The most practical workaround is to run the Android version inside an emulator. This does not create a native Windows version, and success depends on whether the emulator still offers a usable copy and whether the old game can complete its startup and service checks.

GameLoop
GameLoop has an indexed page specifically for GT Racing 2: real car game. Its page identifies the title as an Android game, lists version 1.6.1c, and shows an update date of October 29, 2021. Those details are old; do not treat them as proof of a current official release.
- Download GameLoop from its official website.
- Install and open the emulator.
- Search its catalog for GT Racing 2: real car game.
- Install the game only if it appears through GameLoop’s normal catalog and installation interface.
- Launch it and test the available offline or career content before assuming online features work.
The GameLoop listing displays historical Windows 8.1 64-bit and Windows 10 64-bit requirements, including a GTX 1050, an Intel i3-8300, 8 GB of RAM, and 1 GB of storage as minimum figures. Its recommended figures include an i3-9320 and 16 GB of RAM. Treat these as stale page information, not tested Windows 11 requirements. You also need room for the emulator, Android system files, temporary installation data, caches, and the game’s assets.
BlueStacks
BlueStacks’ GT Racing 2 page describes running the Android game on Windows or macOS. Its BlueStacks 5 baseline requirements include Windows 7 or later and at least 4 GB of RAM, but those are emulator requirements. They do not confirm that GT Racing 2 is currently downloadable, compatible, or connected to its services.
Use the same rule: install BlueStacks only from BlueStacks’ official site, then check whether the game is available through its normal interface. Do not treat a search result or a generic “play on PC” page as proof of a native Windows port.

Google Play Games on PC
Google Play Games on PC supports a selected catalog of Android games, but the reviewed documentation does not confirm that GT Racing 2 is currently included. It is therefore an option to check, not a confirmed solution.
Google’s general minimum requirements include Windows 10 version 2004 or later, 8 GB of RAM, 10 GB of available SSD space, four physical CPU cores, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 or comparable graphics. These requirements apply to Google Play Games on PC, not specifically to GT Racing 2. See Google’s current requirements.
What may happen after installation
Installing the emulator and game does not guarantee that the game will start, download its assets, authenticate an account, or connect to online events. A previously installed copy may also behave differently from a fresh installation.

If the report is accurate, multiplayer and online events may be unavailable, while some offline or career functionality may continue. That offline behavior is also not guaranteed.

Common symptoms include:
- an obsolete login or connection error;
- failure while downloading game assets;
- an emulator installation that succeeds but cannot pass the game’s server check;
- black screens, crashes, stuttering, or broken controller mapping;
- cloud saves or account authentication that no longer work.
Windows compatibility mode cannot turn an Android package into a native Windows game, and reinstalling an emulator cannot restore a server that has been discontinued.
Troubleshooting checklist
- Check availability first. Confirm that GT Racing 2 is still listed in the emulator’s own catalog.
- Restart Windows. This can clear a stalled emulator service or pending update.
- Update Windows and graphics drivers. Old Android builds can be sensitive to driver and virtualization issues.
- Check free storage. The listed 1 GB game figure does not include the emulator, temporary files, Android data, or Windows overhead.
- Check virtualization. Many emulators require hardware virtualization enabled in BIOS or UEFI. Follow the emulator vendor’s current instructions rather than changing unrelated security settings.
- Try career or offline content separately. A failed online connection does not prove that every local mode is unavailable, but do not assume offline mode will work.
- Do not bypass errors with modified files. If the official catalog cannot provide the game or the service check fails, remove the emulator rather than installing an unknown APK.
Hyper-V or other virtualization-layer conflicts, outdated drivers, Windows security blocks, limited RAM, and old Android compatibility problems can all affect emulator performance. Do not disable Windows security protections as a first-line fix.

No—not from a random download portal. Sites offering “unlimited money,” “offline unlocked,” “no verification,” or a “full PC version” are not evidence of an official Gameloft release. Their files may be modified, bundled with malware, used to steal account credentials, or distributed without the necessary rights.

An unofficial APK can also leave you with the same server error as an official copy. It may require unavailable services, contain altered advertising or tracking, or make unsupported claims about offline play. Antivirus software is useful but is not a complete guarantee that a modified file is safe.

Use only an active Microsoft Store listing, an emulator installer from the emulator vendor’s own website, or a legitimate previously owned or previously installed copy where the platform’s recovery rules allow it. Never enter a Microsoft, Google, or Gameloft password into an unofficial launcher, and never disable security protections simply to force an old game to run.
Accounts, saves, and platform differences
Do not assume that progress transfers between an old mobile installation, a Microsoft Store version, and an Android emulator. They may use different account systems, and old cloud services may no longer authenticate. A successful emulator installation is not proof that your mobile save will be recoverable.
What is the best answer in 2026?
For a Windows user, the choices are straightforward:

- Android emulation: Check GameLoop or BlueStacks, with GameLoop the more directly relevant indexed listing. Availability and functionality are conditional.
- Google’s PC layer: Check Google Play Games on PC, but GT Racing 2 was not confirmed in its catalog.
- Unofficial downloads: Avoid APK, MOD, EXE, torrent, and repack sites because they add security and licensing risks without solving possible server failures.
If you need a racing game that works reliably on Windows today, look in the Microsoft Store or another legitimate PC storefront for a currently supported title. Check its platform, controller support, offline capability, system requirements, and online-service status rather than assuming that an old mobile game will be a suitable replacement.
Bottom line
GT Racing 2 was historically free to download and had historical Windows availability, but there is no clearly verifiable, currently supported native Windows-PC download from Gameloft. An emulator may still run an Android build if the title remains available, though the indexed build is old and online functionality is uncertain. Use official storefronts and emulator vendors only, and avoid unofficial downloads that promise a modern “full PC version.”
