Madden NFL 23 was released for PC on August 19, 2022, but that does not mean a new Windows 11 player can still buy or download it. EA retired the game’s online services, support, and in-game purchasing on July 13, 2026; EA says offline modes remain playable on PC. Current availability of a new authorized PC license is not established.
Can you download Madden NFL 23 on Windows 11?
Only if you have a valid game entitlement and an authorized source that currently provides the game. The available information does not confirm that a new customer can still buy a Madden NFL 23 PC license or start a fresh download. EA’s instructions for installing its launcher are not confirmation that the game is currently for sale.

EA originally released Madden NFL 23 for PC through the EA app for Windows, Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Its worldwide launch date was August 19, 2022. Those are historical release channels, not proof that the game remains available in any of them today. EA’s launch announcement
What changed on July 13, 2026?
EA’s notice says the game’s online services, product support, and in-game purchasing were retired on July 13, 2026. EA says offline modes remain playable on PC. EA also records that Madden NFL 23 left both The Play List and The Pro Play List on February 15, 2025, so EA Play is not a current route supported by these sources. EA Play game list
Installing the EA app on a Windows 11 PC
EA supports the Windows EA app on 64-bit PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Installing the app sets up the launcher; it does not grant a Madden NFL 23 license or ensure that the game can be newly downloaded. - Go to EA’s EA app page and choose the PC download.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow its prompts.
- Open the EA app and sign in to your EA Account, or create an account.
- Check whether Madden NFL 23 appears in your account library. You still need an existing entitlement and an available authorized download source to install the game.

Steam’s published listing specifies Windows 10, not Windows 11, for the game. EA app support for Windows 11 is a separate compatibility statement; it does not certify the game itself for Windows 11. If you already own the game
Sign in to the account and launcher associated with your purchase and check your library for Madden NFL 23. If it is available there, use that launcher’s install option and check the game’s own requirements. A past release on Steam, Origin, the EA app, or Epic does not establish that a new license or fresh download is currently available to someone without an entitlement.
