You can’t download or install Roblox Studio on Xbox One. Studio is available for Windows and Mac computers. Create and publish an experience on a computer, then enable console support if you want players to access it on Xbox.
Why Roblox Studio won’t install on Xbox One
Roblox’s Install Roblox Studio documentation lists Windows and Mac computers as the supported platforms. The Roblox app on Xbox One is for playing experiences, not creating them with Studio.

There isn’t an Xbox download or console setting that installs Studio. A keyboard, mouse, or other Xbox accessory won’t make the computer application run on the console.
How to install Roblox Studio on a Windows PC or Mac
Roblox describes Studio as a free creation application. Before downloading, check that the computer meets the documented requirements:

These are the requirements listed by Roblox’s installation documentation, accessed in 2026; they are not performance guarantees for a particular computer.
- On a supported Windows or Mac computer, open Roblox’s Install Roblox Studio page and download Studio.
- Open the downloaded installer: the
.exefile on Windows or the.dmgfile on Mac. Follow the setup prompts. - Launch Roblox Studio and sign in with your Roblox account.
How to make a Roblox experience playable on Xbox
Studio runs on the computer, but an experience created there can be configured for console play. Roblox’s support article, Can I create a Roblox experience and play it on Xbox?, says creators can make experiences in Studio on PC or Mac and then play them across supported devices.

- Open the experience’s playable-device settings and enable Console.
- Save the setting. Players can then access the experience on Xbox, subject to Roblox’s supported-device availability.
Enabling Console makes the experience playable on a console; it does not move Studio or its editing tools onto Xbox One.

The Xbox app is for playing Roblox experiences. Roblox’s Xbox creation support article directs creators to PC, Mac, or mobile for features unavailable on console. If you want to build experiences, you need access to a supported Windows or Mac computer; Xbox One alone is not enough.
