Not necessarily. NCSOFT announced AION 2 with a seamless flying system that allows flight across all regions, but that design statement is not a verified guarantee that you can fly in every location or instance in the current global build. Flight also uses a limited gauge, and a reported no-fly rule in one Reshanta area applies specifically to Korea and Taiwan servers—not, on the available evidence, to the global version.
What “flight across all regions” means
In its June 4, 2025 announcement, NCSOFT described AION 2 as having “a seamless flying system that allows flight across all regions.” That establishes the broad design aim, not a complete list of places where flight is enabled in the live game. The announcement does not settle whether flight is available in every instance or location.
The global launch site lists October 5, 2026 as the launch date. Because the available evidence was checked on October 4, immediately before launch, it cannot confirm every flight rule in the released global build. No current, official, exhaustive global list of no-fly zones is established here.
Flight has a resource limit
The official Taiwan flight guide says both flight and gliding consume the flight gauge. If the gauge is insufficient, the character falls. So even where flight is permitted, it is not unlimited.

The guide distinguishes flight from gliding: the modes share a cooldown, but can be switched between immediately. Its listed controls are:
- V: start or end flight.
- Shift: accelerate while flying.
- Space while airborne: start or end gliding.
- Forward movement while gliding: increase speed; Shift temporarily speeds up the glide.
These controls and mechanics come from the Taiwan guide, which is listed as updated November 18, 2025 and warns that some details may differ from the game. Bindings or behavior may therefore differ by platform, region, or later update.

Known restriction reports—and what they apply to
Chaotic Middle Reshanta
A secondary guide reports that flight was disabled in Chaotic Middle Reshanta on Korean and Taiwanese servers by April 2026. This is a concrete reported exception to the broad “all regions” design language, but it does not confirm that the same restriction exists in the global build.
Open-world flight versus instances
The same secondary guide describes aerial combat in the open world and distinguishes it from instanced combat. It also reports that wings are used to traverse parts of some dungeons. That points to a distinction between open-world flight and wing-assisted instance traversal; it does not establish that flight is disabled in every instance.

How to check a specific location
For a current answer about a particular zone in the global version, check the latest official regional guidance or patch notes and test the flight control in that location. Older Korea or Taiwan rules are useful context, but should not be treated as confirmed global rules unless NCSOFT verifies them for that version.
